Difficult to know how such a group could play so badly.

Just so slow and so little movement ( strangely reminiscent of Everton ).

He has to get pace and creativity onto the pitch.

I'd start with Palmer on for Saka and ( date I say it ) Gordon for either Bellingham or Foden.

Dreadful management with such a ridiculously unbalanced team.

Southgate has had too many mates in the media over the years not calling out his crap tactics and instead they've shifted the blame to the players when things have gone wrong, it seems they're now finding it difficult to shift the blame away from him given it's obvious to everyone the team picks and tactics just aren't working and haven't all tournament.

Whatever happens in this tournament I think it's pretty obvious Southgate football just isn't what people want to watch and he should move on.

If it was me I'd go;

Gordon or Bowen for Mainoo. Leave Rice as single sitting. Put Foden central. That gives us width, removes booking for a young CM, and gets Foden where he needs to be.

Watkins for Kane.

After 60 mins or so Id be lashing Palmer for Bellingham or Foden.
