My day could only get better if John Barns and Jason McAteer manage the reserves.

Kenny cannot lose here though, if they carry on being [Poor language removed] then it will be blamed on Woy and Kenny will go back upstairs. If the team bucks up under Kenny then he will get offered the job in Summer full time. Win Win.

It's strange how history can be re-written to suit the occasion. Kenny the hero? Meh.

Don't get me wrong, he was a wonderful player, and the early days of his managerial career were good too, but it shouldn't be forgotten that he was partly responsible for the demise of BigRed as the major force in British football. He inherited a fabulous squad from Joe ***in, and put them to good use, winning several trophies in the first few years (notably beating us twice in the cup final on the way - jammy bastards). But as his tenure wore on he failed to replace quality with quality and the squad was allowed to age. By the time Souness took over they needed to replace half of the team and were consigned to being 'also rans'. They have never recovered their position as top dogs since. His time at Blackburn was notable for the amount of cash made available by Jack Walker. He bought a first team of superstars, spending the like of which has only been seen at Chelsea and City since. He will have nothing like that kind of financial muscle now. He then went and failed miserably at Celtic and also Newcastle. He's been out of management for 20 years, has inherited a crumbling club that needs drastic surgery, and has very little money to do it with. There is no doubt there will be a feel good factor at Anfield when we play them, and that may cause us trouble, but long term? Meh.

That lot don't know what they want.
Wanted Houlier, didnt want him.
Wanted Rafael, didn't want Rafael.
Wanted Hodgson, don't want Hodgson.

There's a lesson in this somewhere.

Give them Mike Walker, he can finish the job the others started! (y)

My mates who are reds are just relieved, there's no celebrating as I think they're just wrote this season off.

They're turned into a bit of a circus. They're gonna need a really fantastic manager at the end of the season and serious backing or there won't be much improvement ahead. NESW are going to start feeling the heat real soon too.

They're be bumping for the derby, we got to get stuck into them and not let them have the ball early doors.

Can someone dig out the thread I started after they finished 2nd saying they'd crush under the weight of expectation?

Can someone dig out the thread I started when Roy was appointed saying he'd be doomed to failure?

Dalglish is an horrendous appointment. It'll turn bitter.

The Prophetic one!

He might get them up for it... but it's not about them. It's about EVERTON and man for man we're better than them and always have been - we just have to show it.
