Royston Drenthe

He's 1 1/2 " shorter than Pienaar.

Drenthe is 5'5 1/2, Pienaar is 5'7.

Drenthe is still taller than Aaron Lennon though.

I think he's gash. But, he might be one of those terrible players that will score loads. He looks to have the physical attributes and can head a ball.

How can both of you say he looks gash? Have you seen him play at all? And im not talking about you tube clips. How about we reserve judgement until he has kicked a ball. He did score 23 in the argie top league last season so he can't be that bad even if it is a weaker league.

Fair point.

I guess I can't say he looks gash. I think he'll be gash though. Everything I've read about him bar his scoring record fills me with unease. If he really did have a trial at Leicester in July and get turned down then I'd say we do have cause to worry.

I didn't say he looks gash, I said I think he's gash. From such expert quotes as 'he looks like a cb playing as a striker'. I did say he might still score loads. You can be a crap footballer but a decent striker.

Lads this lad was at Real Madrid he didnt do to bad for the first season with players coming into Madrid like ants every summer
its hard to make it there Micheal Owen, Woodgate spring to mind he done well with hercules but would you work hard for someone
and not get payed no didnt so.

if Drenthe gets fit and gets a run of games he could be unreal for Everton i think he will be better to watch on the wing than
ossie or Anichebe. this lad can play football lets hope its for Everton

I'm with you mate. I'm excited about him.

I just have two worries, really;

1.) Will he stay if he's any good? He'll be on a free and I fear bigger clubs may poach him
2.) Will him and Baines compliment each other? We're already too reliant on our left side and putting Drenthe at LM might just make us even more reliant on it.
