England must've kicked the ball aboiut 40 times against Ireland today. Another absolutely brain dead red card too.

Ireland were a bit sloppy at times and hopefully that injury to Shehan is minor. Delighted for Earls to get a try in the game he brings up a the tonne.

It won't be great but a bit over the top seeing the side that was put out against SA. For a country of Wales' size a quarter final is par and they can do that.

England were beyond awful.

No intensity and as you say the kicking was not only predictable it was not executed at all well. With somebody like Steward and if Malins is in the side then it is not a bad tactic as Steward is world class in the air and Malins has the pace to compete most kicks, or at least give the back something to think about.

However, there has to be some imagination, a plan b. If the other team are coping too easily and then easily beating the first man on the return then it has to change. Unfortunately for me, as an England fan, I am not confident we will see it.

The top 5 teams in the world are on one side of the bracket in WC.. there needs to be changes to the timing of the group draws. They do it too far in advance of the competition.
