Held up maul means a scrum, so counts as a stoppage in play, so end of the game.

Fantastic. I love rugby at the top level with all that tension. SA managed to keep NZ pegged back in the last stages. De Klerk was outstanding.

Yes indeed Du Toit was immense tonight , a full 80 mins too. And yet …. just a fraction off from one kick and I’d be saying Jordie Barrett was equally immense for the ABs , even doing the scrums, if they win he’s MoM !!

Absolutely clinical from SA but NZ should've won that I think. They've left that one out.

It wasnt a great gsme of rugby really but finals rarely are. NZ could've had a scrum peno at the death (on the 1st one) but no way any ref gives it.

The Cane red was harsh, no consistency reallly throughout the tournament.

SA are absolutely brilliant at what they do.

Yet again the team I wanted to win lost. But given my absolute disillusion with pro football I've found my replacement sport.
