Professionalism and all it brings (dieticians, organisation, rote strategy and hours spent in the gym) has not improved the game. Physically maybe, but at the expense of flair, artistry, imagination, poetry, elegance and in my case - interest.I’m Welsh, so a bit biased maybe, but I think I’m on fairly safe ground here by saying a lot of fans of my age, be they English, Scottish or Irish, became fans of rugby watching the great Welsh sides of the 70’s. I think back to watching geniuses like Barry John ghosting through defences, well you just don’t see his like anymore. Everybody is built like a wardrobe these days, whatever position they play.
They've worked out they can't play rugby.Smart from England this. They’ve been working on their strategy, rattling the Argentinians this.
Same as in 2003.They've worked out they can't play rugby.
I’m cheering on Argentina and will do so until the Falklands are given back.Look at the different nationalities in here and amicable attitude to disagreements and tribalism. The footie threads are utter crybabies compared to in here, they ruin our forum.
* Rugby League this doesn’t apply to you and I’ll close your thread first once I seize power.
Definitely don't have that quality as 2003, when they were genuinely the best team in the world and deserved winners, but world cup rugby is all about points on the board, they could go deep into this tournament with that style.Same as in 2003.
No they were just spawny and anti rugby, stick to the script man.Definitely don't have that quality as 2003, when they were genuinely the best team in the world and deserved winners, but world cup rugby is all about points on the board, they could go deep into this tournament with that style.
I dunno who's side I'm fighting for now!No they were just spawny and anti rugby, stick to the script man.
