Most people are saying they made some very odd calls in that game last night. The biggest night in Irish rugby history.
If those officials are from France or Wales or wherever Ireland are into the SF.
Can you please stop talking sense? Dave can't cope.….not seeing much of that myself (not forgetting an English ref also took over the Wales game shortly after it started). Posters largely accepting the result for what it was. Sad that Sexton missed a relatively easy penalty whilst NZ were very efficient with their kicking.
NZ were given 2 yellow cards by the referee. The first (deliberate knock-on) was described by Brian O’Driscoll as being a bit harsh. The 2nd was following the ref giving a converted try under the posts leaving NZ a man down for much of the remaining time with a very precarious lead. Ireland had a great opportunity at that point.
They deserve a bit of puffing out their chests and bigging it up after 800 years of oppression.
Its just a pity they ran into 1) a pack of English bigots reffing the game and 2) the miraculous defending of Jordie Barrett.
I still do think that was a try.So thats why we lost the 2007 final, bloody Irish refs
I stand over what i said mate!
Now for England. I hope they've learnt from the last couple of months games.….not seeing much of that myself (not forgetting an English ref also took over the Wales game shortly after it started).
