Crikey....things just got serious.

On a serious note are we and the US any better?

Our history is absolutely shocking.

Two wrongs don’t make a right be we are in no position to slate.
Are we equating today's Russia with 19th Century Britain? Why not go the whole hog and bring in the Danish and Norwegians in the 8th/9th/10th century. Let;s just give Putin a clean slate based on world history and British colonialism and let him do as he pleases in 2022. Whilst I understand what you are trying to say it is a ridiculous analogy, let's tell the Ukranians we cannot support them because we are feeling guilty because some of our great great grandfathers masters were bastards.

19th century Britain? Or 15-20-30 years ago?

Vietnam 40 years sss ago, probably more is that past the cut of line?

For anyone interested:
Go to Google Maps and search for Highgate cemetery in London. Then look in a line NW from the cemetery and you will find three of the largest most expensive homes in Europe all Oligarch owned:
Witenhurst mansion (Biggest Home in London after Buckingham Palace)
Beechwood House 50M (Usmanov. One of two he owns with other in Surrey)
Athlone House 65M
There are obviously more than these including Abramovich's Kensington Gardens valued at 150M and next door neighbor to France, Italy, Nepal and Lebanon Embassies but just thought it amazing that these three were all cosy neighbours of so much prime real estate. Wonder if they go around the others if they run out of milk? Long walk if so haha!!

We are collateral damage in this. There's no way a handful of high profile oligarchs should be alone in being sanctioned. Either go after them all or none at all. Just a few names skimmed off the top is pathetic.

No wonder the Western nations are reviled around the world for their hypocrisy and double standards. Even their own puppet, Zelensky, is furious at them now.

And that arsehole defence minister Wallace yesterday talking about Russian clampdowns on free speech when his own government has used its influence to shut Russia Today down. The Western powers make me 'kin puke. If they'd fulfilled their obligations under the Minsk Agreement we wouldn't be in a war right now...but then again, they never had any intention of fulfilling it, because they wanted to see if they could get away with bringing Ukraine into the EU/NATO fold by stealth - and the Russians weren't having that on their own doorstep, and here we are.

So that's how we got here with our club now a pariah and facing an uncertain future. Never forget the full story of this conflict and how we as a club got caught up in it and were set back decades.

Britian do not want to do anything against Russia that might get in the way of a trade deal somewhere down the road. If Boris can continue to give the illusion of meaningful action while telling lies about being in the vanguard of of those countries standing up for a sovereign nation he will be in prime position to do deals with Russia whatever the outcome of the war. I can see him now saying "it is time to put the conflict behind us" "lessons have been learned, we must welcome Russia back into the fold and ensure war in Europe is a thing of the past". Then when Moldova falls next we will just rice and repeat".

Slightly off topic but China has just announced they are pulling covering the Premier League this weekend because of the support being shown for the Ukraine, WTF, China and Russia, the 2 vilest countries in the world
Yep: obvious new “axis of evil” forming:
China/Russia/Iran/N Korea
