He's actually half decent but that's not good enough for where we want to be.

If he's replacing some of the dross we have as a squad option, then fine, but shouldn't be brought in as a starter.

Nah but in this case it's got to the point of being overly self righteous. I don't even know what other sports you watch but an example would be like if a team decided they were going to refuse to stretch the rules on slowing the ball down in rugby. They could feel great about themselves but they'd not be nearly as successful as Richie McCaw.

The problem with signings like this is that they lower the standard of your side. FOr us with no champions league we should only be signing first team starters or young potential. We will only be as good as our best 11 and signing a player who doesn’t improve that and doesnt have the potential to ever improve it, is a waste of resource. Be better giving the minutes to someone like Gordon.
 
I think he has a lot of quality, and if he was named Diniyar ddgasjhdghsjkdfh\lkdfh you'd all be creaming yourselves before spending the next two years saying that "He still needs time to adapt" before moving onto "He's being played in the wrong position", before eventually accepting that we have spent 25 million on cack.

I think the issue is, 1 of these seasons is not like the others.

You can’t play an entire season with 11 players.

The mad thing is he aint great but overall he's certainly better than Bernard & Iwobi in terms of output.

On a free it would make sense FFP wise to sell one of the above and reinvest the funds in a quality RW.


Rodriguez Gomes Allan Fraser

Vs

Walcott Gomes Delph Bernard

Just an example if we sold say Bernard or Iwobi for £15-18 million and the funds used towards say Rodriguez & Allan in the CM & RW positions - would be a big upgrade overall.
