I downloaded FM14 demo today and started with Everton, as I was checking reserves and under 18, I noticed all of them have 2.5 stars (potential) at best (out of 5) apart from Ryan Ledson who has 4.5! I googled a bit and it turned out that he has -9 as PA (potential attribute), he is 1 of the 110 youngsters who has -9 PA in the World, along with Barkley and Deulofeu http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/football-manager-2014-players/142502-fm14-wonderkids-2.html

For the rest, FM thinks that Ledson is/will be as good as Barkley and Deulofeu and before you say its just a game, they have real people who scout those players and report back to the game developers, anyway he is the captain of England U-17s, played for U-21s few times this season and couple of times last season (was 15 years old!) and Phil McNulty wrote this about him http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/england/23965756

I am from malta and went to watch the game malta vs England today u 17 European championship . Ledson did really well he a calm composed , reads the game well he s more in the gerrard mode rather than Barkley mode and looks like we have a player in our hands

Kenny played well albeit against poor opposition, was barely tested defensively but looked good going forward. He played right back, bombed up and down the flank the whole game, great work rate, good pace and showed good control of the ball. He seemed to make good decisions as to when to go past his man and cross and when to recycle play infield, he made some good through balls as well for the strikers. The other players that stood out were Roberts the Fulham lad, he scored two crackers from range, the lad on the other wing Simms from Saints was full of running and tricks and the CB Gomez from Charlton who looked really composed and brought the ball out from the back all game. You could see what the hype is about with Ledson, England played through him a lot, always making himself available and mixing up the short simple stuff with more expansive passes to switch up the play. Malta struggled to deal with the collective pace and power of England, it will be good to see how they get on against Turkey and Holland in the last two group games, Holland won 3-2 in the match between them yesterday.

Hate to use him as an example but ledson looked very much a Steven Gerrard type player. Played the deep role and has a very good passing range for someone so young. Always describes himself as a Lampard type, so was maybe playing in a more disciplined role for England. Looked like he had much more to his game to offer if he'd been playing a different possition.

Think we'll see him in and around the team next season without a doubt!
 

It's not very Everton of us to have a top prospect coming through in a position we need players in. The rule would normally point to him being a full back.
 
Is there anywhere I can watch the goals of yesterday's game? Can't find anything on youtube or 101great goals...
