Thought Ledson stood out yesterday in the same way Rodwell did when he played in the Under 21's while he was with us. He has a stature about him, a man amongst boys.

Good comparison but IMO ledsons passing range is superb much better than rodwells ever was

I agree. Thought his long range passing was like Gerrard' s.

...it'd be something if his passing was like Gerrards, but I get what you mean. He's a Gerrard type, sitting in front of the back-four in a quarterback type of role. Gets a nose bleed when he crosses the half way line. Like you, I'd compare him more to Gerrard than Rodwell. My opinion is Rodwell is a safe player who generally plays the way he's facing and rarely loses possession. For me he rarely took a game by the scruff of the neck, taking passes on the turn and driving at defences.

Ledson has all the ammunition to be a top player if he's dedicated.

...that's good, I'm only going on last night to be fair. His own assessment was that its the part of his game that he's weakest at, but I'm delighted if he has that quality.
