Just because I suggested scouting the world better does not automatically mean I want more foreign players... the world, maybe not your parallel one, however still includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.

Oh, or maybe you mean we ignore more potential bargain buys like we had in Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Oviedo, Seamus, etc ??

Ledson needs to go out on loan and get some first team football under his belt. At the moment McCarthy, Barry, Besic and Gibson are ahead and with less games next season there won't be many chances. For this reason we also don't need Cleverley.

Fair enough, im just more willing to give Clev a chance (like i did with Gibson, and McCarthy when we signed them), as its a smaller risk than bringing a player from abroad.

I dont see him a main player in our team, more a Osman type player who can be affective at times.

But im also behind Martinez, so that might have a bearing on if ppl support players he is linked with.

As I said in the thread I instigated...

Much as I hope there is no mileage in this story and possible signing... if he is signed, I'll wish him to show/prove me and ar kid totally wrong.
If he is signed I hope he makes all those like me/us currently unimpressed with him eat our words and rush to buy new shirts with his name on the back as the new Blue hope.
El Bob must see something in him from his time on loan at the Pie Eaters that many of us cannot see, so again, if he's signed I'll wish him well, but I cannot deny I'd rather us try to identify someone who looks infinitely better now... and as the thread about Ryan Ledson suggests, why not give him the opportunity to blossom rather than buying in at over-inflated costs?
