Lundstram isn't very good mate. And that's from seeing him play at a lower level about 5 times over the years.

I'd still rather give him a chance that signing Tom Cleverley

Now, if we're signing someone whose actually good then maybe I'd look at things from a different view

As it stands, I'd rather we play the lad we have, whose come through our own system and who has been patientally waiting for his chance than pay more in wages for a guy who has proven that he can't cut the mustard

That we'd be getting him on a "free" ignores the fact that he'd probably be on a decent wage and all the additional fees we'd have to pay to get him. I'd rather we give our youth squad the chance before paying a penny on Tom Cleverley

Cleverley would be another Manu reject that we get lured into signing a tthe potential expense of losing one of our betters players in the opposite direction. No, no, no to Cleverley !!!

Clev is on a free, so we wont be sending them any money or player, yet.

You would think people would have learned that getting players from United has actually worked out well for us.

For me, even if we were signing a random 26 year old from Azerbaijan, I'd have a different view. I wouldn't know for sure if he's going to be good or not, and I wouldn't even be able to have a guess.

With Cleverley, I know for certain. I'd be delighted to be vaulted on this, but here goes - he's one of the worst, most ineffectual footballers I've ever seen at Premier League level. He's right alongside Jack Rodwell in terms of just existing on a football pitch. It was amazing when I watched Villa last month when they ran riot over Sunderland - everyone looked rejuvenated and playing well, except Tom Cleverley who despite a 4-0 win still looked absolute turd!

Cleverley is an odd choice I admit.

Hey, might not happen.

Lundstram isn't going to make though I fear.

Methinks Tubey just summed it up.

Ledson is 17

Will be only just 18 when next season starts.

Get him on loan at a, decent, Championship club and see how he does.

He seems to have something about him but not sure lobbing him in our first team is a great idea. Nor would be sitting him on the bench for weeks on end.

+1 on the lundstrum shouts. He's not good enough. As much as people don't want cleverly, he's twice (in fact) 10x the player lundstrum is. That's not even having a go at the kid, it's not easy making the top level.

As for Cleverley i'd rather not. However you can't help but feel there must be a reason why SAF opted to use him regularly in Europe and the big games!

Ledson is gonna be a diamond. Vault me on that! However he most likely needs at least a short term loan playing grown up football first.

He's the most beige footballer I've ever seen. But this is Martinez we're talking about, he lives in his own little fantasy bubble where his Wigan side that finished 16th were a reborn 1970 Brazil

Well no, he is wrong.

No such think as a poor footballer at this level, if you knew what they had to do to get to this level....its imposible to fluke or blag your way in.

Most said the same about Gibson, and look how that changed.

The bitterness for United players or ex players is so obvious, they produce good players.....AND HE IS FREE.

If it was Carlos Kickaball on a free from Almeria, they would be creaming.
