Got a fair few United fans. The big thing to them is no doubt they'll get some washed up Mark Hughes type manager and just stay stuck in the championship or tumble down.

Think he's bought some duds to stay in the prem. But he's also massively hamstrung in general and also falling out with the owner isnt gonna end well.

I think the fans rate him, but he might feel he's taken the club as far as possible. Their summer recruitment looked speculative, at best, at the time and has panned out badly. The Brewster deal especially is the one that sticks out.

I will always have a soft spot for Wilder for living rent free in Klopp's head over the extra subs thing.

On brewster - I cannot believe he was Wilder's signing. Ignoring the fact he is not very good and was overpriced, he was the polar opposite to what Wilder needed in a striker. All managers get signings wrong; but Brewster was wrong (for Sheff U) on so many levels it had to be an interfering owner.

The timing of it is very strange.
They should have done it in October or November and giving themselves a chance with someone new or left him there for next season.

Agreed, if they wanted to make a change it should have been while the outcome was in doubt.

Only makes sense if he, or ownership, thought he had lost the dressing room and that the situation was now untenable.
