Just remembered what Bilic said about the fat man a few years ago and its cracked me up

"The players will respect him. He’s a big man. He’s Big Sam. You see him on the television, he fills the screen. You are looking for the board with the sponsors names behind. Where have they gone? You can’t see them."

They already don`t want him.

They already know exactly the type of industrial, no shots on target footy they are going to get.

Their eyes will bleed.

He will popcorn them at every opportunity.

The dislike will turn to raw hatred, even if he keeps them up.

agree with all that - but he'll keep them up

Is there a video of this anywhere? Chortling away here.

In a way I find it weird that Allardyce hasn’t already been at West Brom at some point, given their tendency to be battling relegation whenever they’re in the Premier League.

He’ll probably keep them up, as he’s done it everywhere else, but thank god I’m not a West Brom fan, especially with him in charge and scraping draws and going five games without a shot on target

They'll go down. No goals in that team, least Sunderland, Palace and us had a couple of players who could win games once the defence was shored up.

God I hope he gets a relegation on his record to forever destroy his credibility.

I'd argue that they're not that bad going forward, they've got decent players up there, who admittedly are not all Premier League Standard (ala Sawyers) but Diangana and Perreira are good players, and I actually don't think Grant is up top, but will always struggle with a poorer side (look how he did at Huddersfield compared to what they had).

Still, is that Bilic fault? He can only work with the budget he's given Think Pereira, Diangana and Grant were a total of £24m (Grant is pay £3m a year for 5 years). Meanwhile Sheffield United have spent over £50m.

I understand your point, but for Bilic, they sold Hegazi from under his nose without permission and gave him no money. What's he supposed to do?
They shouldn't be that bad going forward but they're only not among the lowest scorers because they got to play Chelsea before Kepa got benched and scored 3 goals on 3 shots to start the game that day. Big Sam won't fix that but they're hoping he will at the other end.

And yes West Brom haven't made it easy on Bilic. And like Sheffield United they could have stuck it out even if they get relegated (I think they are with Wilder anyway). So maybe it isn't all the way fair but I do think the performances are bad enough.
