Kia Havertz will suit Potter down to a T, can’t hit a barn door.

I think Potter will take it but I think it will be a mistake. That dressing room wont be great and a few will have the… what u done to manager me..attitude

Potter will be fired within 18 months, not because he’s not good enough but because he will need time to implement his way and one thing you don’t get with Chelsea is time. Probably the worst of the big clubs to go to.

I think all this was probably arranged in the summer through agents

Chelsea sack Tuchel
Brighton give permission
Potter becomes Chelsea manager

All within 24hours! Brighton knew this was coming and so did Potter.

I think it's important to note that despite Boehly's abrasive entrance into the Premier League, he may not also repeat the revolving door policy in relation to managers. If I were Potter the more concerning aspect would be the fact they outlaid so much in transfer business with players for immediate impact and correlated to Tuchel (even if reports suggests otherwise) only to fire him days after the window closed. How does that reflect future funds, FFP and or approaching a very personality heavy, mainly veteran squad. All potential issues symptomatic of not having a football structure or DoF which is a main factor to his current success at Brighton.

As an Evertonian selfishly Potter taking this puts us in line of possibly getting him in the future. I doubt he last two years or has trophy level success. And if it flames out he enters our tier which he would not really consider currently. But personally and liking him I don't think he will or should take this job. Ashworth leaving might sway his decision a bit but still Chelsea has almost zero overlap in the club structure or squad thats correlated to whats made him successful thus far.
Sky Sports News seem to reckon they want him to replicate what he is doing at Brighton and will be given a long contract and a big say in everything from the first team down to the youth team to the staff and the recruitment. If that's true (will believe it when I see it) then it might convince him, much bigger budget at Chelsea to do what he needs to.

Massive gamble if Potter goes there, Chelsea fans would have to be patient with him from the get go

I think he will be brilliant there but i agree they could panic if it doesnt ignite straight away.
Bit jealous. Everton should have aggressively gone and got him after Ancelotti.
