Sack race 22/23 season

Does the Forest owner think the only two choices are sack or commit to an expensive new contract?

Mad decision when they're on a five-game losing streak and rooted to the bottom of the league. Sitting tight and reassessing a game at a time would've been far more sensible.

That club is determined to bankrupt itself.
If they become adrift at the bottom they now if they sack him have to pay him 3 years money instead of 1-2 years hahaha
If he starts to climb the table he is still under contract ?‍♂️

Great work lads

The only justification I can come up with for this is that it works as a signal of intent. Both to the players and the fans. "He's our man."

Indeed, their fans seem delighted judging by the replies to that Tweet - and a club's own fans are far better placed to judge than any others in managerial matters.

But still...

Why now though? Surely they could of waited until they were higher up, its not like he is being head hunted and are at the top end of the table.

I think its a bizzare decision

Weird reactions. Cooper took them from the bottom to promotion and they were always unlikely to stay up anyway. He is a good coach so it makes sense to stick and hope he pulls off another miracle or can rebuild for promotion next season.

That's fine and I actually want him to do well, but as a club that is just silly when they are rooted to the bottom of the table and thrashed 4-0 by a team everybody else has been smashing - unless they have inserted a get out of jail free clause.

Nah they haven’t I think

I think they are gonna go down or close to it but if you look at where Forest were when Steve Cooper took over (bottom of the championship I think) it makes sense as he has done really well for them.

They could be in league 1 instead they are in the premier league

Haven't they spent a tonne of money though? If they're OK with being relegated should they not try and do the yoyo club thing in a more sustainable way?
