Sack race 23/24 season

I wonder how loyal/ ruthless the Wrexham owners are.
I'm wondering what will happen if it gets to the point where it doesn't look like they will get another promotion.
They will not want to end up another Salford.
Salford is an interesting one they seem obsessed with employing people who have United connections.
I think it is only a matter of time before they get fed up with the whole idea and one by one walk away from the club.

I’m amazed how Ten Hag is still at Utd!

Utd look worse than I’ve ever seen them for the past 30 years, not a single team or manager won’t fancy their chances when playing them right now.
Is the issue primarily ten Hag, or is it something deeper? While he's not blameless, I personally feel the issues run much deeper and would swapping rectify it?

It may do some short-term good (a bump in results perhaps), but for me it's sticking a plaster over what is a club that, for its size, is massively dysfunctional.

They're definitely not exploiting their financial might and overall status. As I've said previously, they have spent money but it's been haphazard - no real plan.

It's an expensive squad that lacks any real format to how they want to play and develop; the feeling I get is that there are lots of individuals too, not a team.

Just look at their midfield for an example: Amarabat, Mount, Fernandes, Eriksen, Casmimero, McTominay, Sancho, Antony and some kids.

It's relatively expensively put together, but you don't look at that and look frightened; you don't look at that and go it's players 'worth' lots (ignore what they spent).

Up front, Martial is a dud apart from against us, Hojlund isn't worth anywhere near what they spent and Rashford is once again off the boil. Garnacho is okay.

Let's ignore their defence, and letting De Gea go still seems odd. Like I said, ten Hag isn't blameless with some of his acquisitions and how he's setting them up...

... yet, I think most top managers will look at that squad and think they've got a job on their hand to get a tune out of what's a poor squad in the long-term.

Where does it boil down to? Poor leadership from the top.

I agree. I can't think of a single player they have who currently looks that good. Bruno Fernandes has potential to be world class in the right system, other than him there either young players with potential or formerly good players who are past their prime. The introduction of Dave Brailsford may well help, providing he brings methodology and not opinions. I remember Clive Woodward failing as Director of Football at Southampton. What they need most of all is a manager with a clear way of playing, and then to endure some pain while they find out who suits that method and who doesn't, which could take 2 or 3 years, but Ten Haag doesn't seem to be that guy.

He’s speaks very good English obviously, but there’s something about the way he speaks, and his demeanour, that I can imagine rubs players up the wrong way. I can’t define it exactly.

Abrasive is the word; others may put it as direct and lacking compassion, although to be fair we ain’t sure what he’s like behind closed doors.

But again, I can see why this may have attracted United to him because he puts the needs of team before the individual.

They appear to have hit the buffers Paul and by the managers they're choosing they don't seem in a hurry to get it on track.
Giggs is the latest name being banded about.

They should of stuck with Alexander but they are far to quick sacking managers.
You don't sack a fella who has got you promotion in his first full season , got you to the papa John's cup final and was sitting 5th in the league when he got sacked.
