Sack race 23/24 season

It saved Leicester so I’m sure it will save Wolves as well. I bet Emery will stick around also for a few seasons when he can’t spend anything if Villa don’t make the CL this season.

For the good of the game though. It also doesn’t matter if the regulations aren’t fair because Moshiri spent 500 million once didn’t you know.
With the new version of FFP coming in where a club can't spend more than 70% on wages I think it is going to make it more difficult for clubs to compete with the established clubs with very high revenue. It would be a bit of a kick in the nuts if u can afford to buy the player, afford to pay the wages, the player wants to come to the club and because it pushed the wage ratio over 70% u are not allowed to close the deal

If I've understood correctly, PL sustainability rules are because the percentage of our turnover spent on wages is/was reportedly the threshold.
It is coming into force in 2025 to allow clubs time to adjust their current wage ratio. I guess Everton could be in the process of reducing the ratio in order to comply with the 70%. But I would assume a lot of contract will expire by the time the 70% kicks

He wants the pay out big time.
They’ve crept up quietly on the FFP front (probably because they’re all staring at us).

But it looks like the owner isn’t willing to put more in, their finances are precarious and they’ve subsequently got to sell to keep afloat.

Can’t say I’m a huge fan of Wolves, they had a taste of Europe, then started acting all very arrogant. Molineux isn’t my favourite away either.

The more teams in the mix the merrier and the quicker they sack Lopetegui the better for me, as no way they’re bringing anyone decent
Looks like Wolves in a bit of financial trouble
But if estimates from figures within the club of an approximate £80million loss in the 2022-23 figures, due to be published next spring, are broadly accurate, Wolves would be at risk of breaching the maximum permitted £105million loss over a three-year period by the end of 2023-24.

As others have said, I’d be shocked if it’s not Lopetegui.

Feels to me like he wants the payoff, rather than resigning. Didn’t want the job to begin with, eventually accepted the job, seemingly on false pretences.
Can’t spend in the summer due to FFP restrictions and has been very vocal.

I’d be shocked if he remains. They’ve got a very Everton situation going on there.

1. Lopetegui
2. Heckingbottom (he’s a low wage option for Sheffield Utd, but will they try stick around if they struggle, giving him the boot?)
3. Sean Dyche - I reckon it would be a resignation job, to be completely honest. If they club offer him money and they don’t get what he wants, he could easily walk.

But for once, I actually feel it’s a very solid core of managers, who may actually not all get the bullet.

Hoping Lopetegui does go because if so and Wolves get their next manager wrong, they could be in the doodoo
