SACK THE BOARD

The bloke is not very bright and probably saw it as just reward for years of defending the Board on the radio phone-in.

Being offered a sinecure like that on big money is hard for anyone to refuse.

However anyone with an ounce of integrity would not have spouted his anti-fan comments. Indeed his appalling “one man and his dog” comment was long before he was on the Board and was an early indication of the contempt he feels for us riff-raff.

Good riddance to him, hope he never comes back to Goodison (and this is from someone who adored him as a player).

Kind of summed up my feelings at the end mate.

Had he said no, and let’s face it, he
Must be financially sound to be able to say “no”, he’d have been remembered for generations, for being an Everton legend.

He’s just lost it all for backing his best mate Bill. Time will be a healer, but been at the club for 30 years of his life, and will now miss the last game at Goodison and opener at BMD.

Baffling decision to join the board, especially as we all knew it was a sinking ship.

Sharp brought it on himself I'm afraid mate

He could have done the honourable thing and resigned from the board after Headlockgate, but he decided to keep riding the gravy train

I have very little sympathy for him at this time
He was such a great player for us in the days players were not on film star wages - so would you turn down that salary he was on ?

After Headlockgate I definitely would

Plenty of money to be made with after dinner speaking etc if you still enjoy the support of the fan base, which is what he would have had if he'd taken a stand at that point

He'd be as close to a "hero" as you could be in such a situation, and once Kenwright was gone another appointment could always open up

He's thought in the short term instead of the long term here

It's entirely possible that Sharp was a great player but a not so great person?

That said, if he keeps his head down for a bit he has enough goodwill in the bank to be forgiven for his misguided allegiance to this terrible chairman.

Just on Graeme Sharp, I think he’s been used as a human shield by Kenwright, which is a despicable way in itself to treat our greatest post war goalscorer, and second only to Dean in the all time records.
Corporate mouthpiece. My queries to him have always been met with trite and stock responses which most always turned out to be untrue.

No way back for Sharp in my book, his last chance of redemption went when he sided with Billy Liar and Blondie after 'headlockgate '. Had he resigned at that point he may have been forgiven by a lot of blues.
