Top scoffer as well if recent photos are anything to go byIs Masterchef on the TV tonight? If it is, don't be expecting Sally Rondon to be playing. Loves his cookery programmes.

Hope he does tonight.
Don't think he was a crap signing. But he's 32, been in China/Russia for two years, hardly fit (because of playing in China/Russia for 2 years and then having 4 months off since May) and we've given him a 2-year deal with an option for a third.

Well, thing is, it wasn't, really.Unfortunately it was either Rondon or go with what we've got mate.
Hammering the guy when he's not even had a go yet is daft but our fans have form for it see Josh King who wasn't even given a fair crack under Carlo.
Would have rather have stayed with King.Unfortunately it was either Rondon or go with what we've got mate.

Just posted the same!Well, thing is, it wasn't, really.
He wasn't the only forward available in world football. Benitez wanted him though and in this window we went solely with Benitez targets. Brands might as well have got his September to December holiday started two months earlier.
We tried to do the Rondon deal in July and couldn't make it work. You telling me there's no other strikers in world football available on loan/cheap that could come in sooner and offer what Rondon offers?
And honestly, I was thinking this the other day, I'd have bloody kept King fwiw, and just sold him on in the window since he'd have been on a free anyway.

Looks like he's eating a full menu every night. He's a growing boy!
Its easy to say that same as when people say "there's thousands of managers out there" yet Spurs appointed Nuno and we appointed Benitez.
The reality is the EPL is the NFL of football - many many professional footballers in world football likely wouldn't make it at a top half club as we've seen with Sandro, Kean, Tosun, Niasse.
Then you have players who maybe wanted first team football which we couldn't offer with DCL our main option or maybe we couldn't afford to sign one (I mean how many boss slotters cost pennies these days?).
As fans we need to stop thinking we know better than everyone at the club as often we only see a snapshot of what goes on mate.
Oh look, I don't mind the signing. But us leaving it until the very last day because Rondon had to wriggle out of his contract at Dalian... and then obviously (because Everton) we then have to throw him into games straight away even though he looks like he's been on the ale (I know he hasn't, but the difference in fitness is frightening).
Everton's complete and consistent failure to do any forward planning, for a club that routinely goes through injury crises, baffles me.
On your last point.
We've spent half a billion in the last 5 years, selling three of our best players to boot. We've had 5 managers. We've hit a high of 7th. We've reached three QFs. Got smacked about in Europe. Had 50 odd players come and go. Two DoFs. Our financial situation has got worse year on year and we've appointed one of our biggest rivals' modern legends as manager.
The club have absolutely no idea what the plan is or what they're doing.
He will certainly start, just not sure how deep he will go into the game but 60 minutes will be fineI'm coming round to the idea we maybe should try to play him an hour again. He needs matches to get fit and we have no better option fit.
He certainly needs the minutes. No alternative to him at the moment, Simms is not fully fit either. He will certainly start, just not sure how deep he will go into the game but 60 minutes will be fine
They have made mistakes but long term we'll get better. You cant hold mistakes against people for life - everything Moshiri does people will moan from now on and its not fair this summer was the reset after years of awful recruitment and big contracts being handed out.
