Starting him is not an option. The game plan to press will be out the window because he cannot sustain it for 90mins. Pressing is an essential part of Lampard gameplan, quite evident when you see the way he transformed iwobi.

Fast attacking football will also be limited with rondon leading the line. He is simply not that type of player.

The only way for rondon to be anywhere near effective is to keep the ball in the air, flick on and crossing. Or when we’re desperate for a goal and the opponent sits deep in their half.

Rondon is a very limited player. I can see why Lampard prefer richarlison as a striker.

I think the commentator even said he's not capable of starting games these days. Not sire if that was Tyler chatting wham or if he'd basically been told Rondon is a donkey who would struggle to make an impact from the start. We seen how poor he was when Benitez gave him about 8 games on the spin and he could barely break into a jog.

Definitely brought on 15 minutes too late yesterday though.

Good outlet held the ball up well a bit of poor decision making and slipping aside he could have bagged a goal. Encouraging how he finds himself in positive positions and held the ball up well today.

Rondon can be useful when he is fit. We needed him before he was fit and he looked bad but he is a battler and strong as an ox when fit.
