We have no good attacking options. Anything he tries will almost certainly not work

We dont know that though - and if it is correct then Lampard gets no criticism (certainly from me) as all you can do is try. Moyes playing Fellaini as a no10 in an era where no10's were silky players doing hollywood passes whilst we had Felli all elbows and flick ons but it worked - why didnt he try that with Onana for example rather than use him in a holding midfield 2 role that left us in danger whenever he lost the ball ?

To finish the game with the same front 3 as the last two was an insult in my eyes. Under Benitez and Ancelotti there were many occasions when the bench literally had 2 keepers, a bunch of kids and Andre Gomes on it - yesterday you had Onana, Allan, McNeil, Vinagre - not world class options by any stretch but he could have shuffled his deck if he needed and switched it up/changed formation.

Someone at Everton above Lampard actually thought this lad was capable of being backup to Dom this season, otherwise we would have had another striker in months ago.

Playing him really is like you've got one sub left and your striker has just gone off injured, you're a goal down and you've only got centre halves available to you. You choose one and tell him "just make a nuisance of yourself son" as he jogs onto the pitch.

That would be all very well and good, but Rondon is unfortunately the only striker in our squad at present. Really concerning times.
