I know you can't blame the players, but a salary cap on weekly wages should have been implemented years ago - gets all the crap out the game when clubs are all playing the same or similar (and lances the boil on the games arse - agents).

If we get this fella, its another example of Brands failing role as DOF, as it's 100% Benitezs call.

Our whole transfer ways of working are still massively flawed - it's allowing the managers to dictate signings that got us in this mess on FFP.

I may be in the minority here but I think he’ll be fine as a backup striker for a season, assuming we don’t get rinsed on wages or contract length.

Because selling clubs hold out for bigger offers, buying clubs hold out for cheaper deals and players / agents hold out for higher wages / fees. It’s brinksmanship from all parties.
