All the comments I’ve seen from non Everton fans on social media are positive towards Rondon. Seems to be rated by quite a few, when I say rated I don’t mean as a top top player but as someone who will work hard and garauntee some goals.

He was dangerous whenever he played against us.

Maybe if he wasn't utterly useless the owners would trust him more.

He spent big money on Gomes, Kean, Iwobi, Delph, offered Benard large wages and signed players like Lossl, Olsen and Sidibe on uninspiring loans.

I wouldn't trust him to water my plants whilst on holiday never mind spend multi millions.

The fire him and bring someone else in.

I don't hate this signing but I do feel like it is another example of how Brands is not given the level of control that the people fuming at him must think he has.

agree.. I planned to expand on this thinking cos the mess we dealing with is the outcome of Brands buying to the managers wishes as opposed to a clear recruitment strategy that he is leading for the club.

Now Kean has gone it is essential we brought somebody in, as we saw the cost of not doing that last season. This deal has grown on me, but if the rumours of the wages are true it makes a mockery of our alleged financial situation and transfer dealings this window.

As always I'll wait and see the detail before chucking the dummy out. But an important signing this one when you look at how thin the squad is of attacking players. James staying will help too.

Nah that would be money. He was quite good his last PL season. Of course that was 3 years ago now but as a backup he'll do.
