I'd imagine, the issue here is the owner not allowing the DOF to do his job. He's getting involved in picking managers and then letting them bring in players to keep them happy. As discussed before Brands should probably leave if he wants to do the job his way but he won't because he's on a sweet wage no doubt. Why would he?

young player should be given opportunity like DCL. He will not be the player he is now if we deprive him of first team minutes and repeatedly send him out on loan.
5 to 10 appearance for dobbin is way better than going out on loan playing negative football under abysmal coaching.

But the fact is Dobbin or Simms wont be getting regular minutes because of DCL mate!

Rondon would be coming in to largely come off the bench for 10-15 minutes to try grab a goal / rest DCL.

That does no good for a young player.

Im not saying they cant but its no good for their long term development.

Fans always think we have a raft of top drawer kids in the academy ready to come in and bag goals when the reality is most of our youngsters are either bobbins or still wet behind the ears and need 90 minutes week in week out at a lower level to develop as players.
