So this is where we are as a club under big fat sam

“I’ve got to try and work that out. Whether we go and say to ourselves ‘we have to go and dig one out’ like we did at Liverpool or West Brom it’s for us to decide next week.

“We could play on the break and use Yannick Bolasie and Theo Walcott as breakout areas while conceding the majority of possession"

Is this really the level to that we have dropped where our manager is planning to sit back against Stoke and hope we can hit them on the break? The man is a turd. Get him out

Marvellous, I’ve always wanted to be told that going to stoke is akin to that of Barcelona.

He’s the king of the popcorn is gravy boy

stoke are a truly truly horrible side, they play a 60 year old lamppost up front, the only player in the whole squad who's actually any good at football is shaquiri

yet we'll go there and play for a draw because that's just what we do ( we will get a point I reckon ) and fatty will come out thinking he's jesus

We should respect every team and prepare for them as if they were all Barcelona and when we play them, treat them like they were Stoke. Big Scam just had it the wrong way round.

I hope Swansea played well against them if we need to watch their game video as our preparation.

Big Scam out.

Apparently, he deals with pressure by watching Ant and Dec. I suppose the three of them do have something in common. They get paid obscene amounts of money for absolutely no talent whatsoever.

Tbf, I would prefer Ant and Dec to manage the team rather than him

From my vantage point in the Main Stand it seemed like the fans really got right behind the players today (and the manager as well!!) and that seemed to make all the difference.

As Allardyce said, we were like a 12th man.

Well, I think calling us a “12th man” is a bit hyperbolic George, but there is no doubt the crowd stepped up on Saturday and nobody was of a mind to be too critical.

I think everyone realised Saturday was a sort of a Cup Final and failure to win would have us anxiously looking over our shoulders going into the last two months of t’ season.

This was simply because we have written off the next two home games and on one expects owt from the four away games.

This is turn is based on the precedent set in the preceding seven months of this most dismal of seasons.

We had three games to get the necessary four or five points still required before kick off on Saturday.

And we don’t need Sam patting us on the head for doing what we always do when Everton backs are against the wall...;)

Saw Southampton vs Stoke the other weekend, dreadful game with two dreadful sides. Stoke have absolutely no goal threat and despite the individual players their defence isn’t all that either. They almost made Southampton look like a premier league side.

We should be pasting them.

Play for the draw, then concede in the 78th minute. It's the Big Sam "relegation saviour" model of hoofball.

It`ll be us and them playing hoofball for 90 mins.

The footballing equivalent of table tennis.

I can hardly wait.

( last on match of the day guaranteed )

Lose to Stoke and we are back in relegation mix tbh. We will almost certainly lose to Liverpool and City, and then we have 5 games against teams fighting the drop.

We surely can’t lose all of them, but still have that nagging feeling.
