Ok, he’s our manager but the way these media football pundits are all over him is a bit sickening. The MoTD crew were on about how since Sam arrived we’ve gone two games without conceding, having totally ignored the fact that Unsy managed the WHU game, put Rooney in the deeper position and that Sam picked the exact same team for Huddersfield.

He reign begins now. Two more games in a week..........
Agreed. Allardyce would have had just one days training with the players, and actually picked the same team and set up as Wednesday when he had zero input. He really hasn't had enough time to judge him either way.

And before everybody jumps on my back, that applies to the derby next week too. I won't be blaming the manager when we get hammered next Sunday. In fact, in the unlikely event that we get anything positive out of the game I'd probably have to begrudgingly give him ALL of the credit for it. Can't see it happening though.

Agreed anything up to 0-3 gets a pass for me
I'd like to see a snide derby performance for a change. Not saying for we'll win, but it'd nice to let them know they've been in a scrap for a change. I'm fed up rolling over, to get our tummies tickled, only to get a stamp on the plums.
We've got a week to prepare, Thursday is just a hindrance now.
I hope it's the most boring one sided derby 0-0 in history....

After initially being horrified at the appointment of Allardyce, I've started to be able to think more rationally about his appointment.

I, like a lot of fans on here would have liked a massive name with a reputation of delivering success and titles. However, that wasn't going to happen and Koeman had to go. So we are left with the best available option.

I'm hoping he can break some stereo types we have about top managers. He's remained close to the game, he understands modern football, he has contacts and has a reputation for not just getting the best out of players but also understanding them and putting an arm round them when needed. I don't think he will remove anyone's locker or banish anyone to the cold without trying his best first.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if he shows what can be done with a bunch of faltering individuals and get them to gel and play together? I'm hoping that he can move us on and with an English manager at the helm it would make a refreshing change to see some success. Go on Sam. Break the mould.

Well said that man ;)

You would imagine he would defend deep next week then replace Calvert-Lewin with Niasse and push Sigurdsson up when they hopefully tire.
We’ll probably get beat like.

To be fair this is a good shout, if Niasse hasn't a clue what he's gonna do next, their defence won't have a clue what to do about him either.

Go Prince Niasse, a winning goal next weekend and he will be a hero here for years and years to come.

New main stand "The Prince Niasse Stand"

A bronze statue on the concourse outside.

He might even get a locker.

You can keep Kone mate!

Honestly mate if Kone signed for yous and started playing the way he did for us when Sam bought him he's a beast of a player..he plays for Sam..I know that sounds a bit unprofessional on his part but Sam gets the best out of him..he was immense for us under Allardyce.
