No I don't think he is the sole problem at Everton, many things wrong this season. He is the one picking the team, making them play the way they are, setting the tactics to try and snatch no more than a point every away match he plays and against the so called big 6. This is not the Everton I'm used too and pay my hard earned money to watch every week. A major clear out is needed and the person setting the team out to play the way they are needs to be first out the door! I can take losing a football match as long as it's played in the correct manner of at least setting up to win and not just the so called bread and butter games as he called it
I agree with all of that but we have to be careful not to assume everything Allardyce does is incorrect.

I imagine it will be quite toxic for the end of season games. The crowd have nothing to support due to games being meaningless so all their attentions will be aimed elsewhere. The club need to clarify as soon as

Meant to be in reply to bluelee

Sam is a big fat gobshite, but, he is winding us up, in much the same way as he did the hammers fans and our board either cannot see it, or, couldn’t care less. Either way it has to stop.

Heard someone saying the other day that Allardyce said in his autobiography that he knew he was getting the boot from West Ham but still talked about what he was going to do the following season in his post/pre match interviews, and hinted that it was to wind-up those fans who were calling for his head, hopefully that’s the case with us, he knows he’s getting volleyed out the door, so is just trolling us.

Allardyce is going and he knows it, I'm utterly convinced of that. Every singe interview he's done for the past 2 months all he's talked about is how well HE'S done. It's what he is, a self-promoting braggart who knows as long as there's an aura of self-confidence about him he's always be in demand. All he's doing is publicly re-typing his CV for next season when another club is in trouble and an owner inevitably comes calling. He's basically trying to put the narrative out there of; "I got Everton safe, I got them into the top half, I gave them their confidence back, they're owner and supporters were unrealistic."

I knew what he was and what to expect back when I posted that I was in favour of bringing him back in November. It's because we were down in the doldrums and badly panicking, the way the team was performing we looked almost certain to go down. Even now with hindsight I don't regret us bringing him in, the simple reason being because we had so few other options at the time. Unsworth would not have done a better job (anyone who argues that needs to grow up), Moyes was a complete no-no and no one else was interested. Perhaps giving Koeman a bit more time may have worked out favourably but I don't blame the board for not taking that chance, though I do blame them for cocking up the summer so badly which is what led to us all this mess.

He'll be gone soon and we'll be all be allowed to forget this dark time. The club was sick, we needed to take the medicine available to us even though we knew it would taste foul. We've took it now the taste is nearly gone, just a bit longer people.
