He has to be the master of spin and really is fireproof in every respect. Bottom line is that he "saved us" from relegation and has justified his position, performance etc., and can use West Brom as his yard stick. He leaves with a pocket full of Moshiri's cash and his CV is enhanced because we retain our Premiership status. He neither cares or "gets" Everton and the reality is, why should he? A win or a draw is media and spin nectar to him and he will layoff adverse results by hanging out players or over expectant fans - a true master of spin...nothing sticks to Mr Teflon.

The media and pundits love him because it fills airtime and column inches. Hopefully he will be gone in 4/5 weeks or less and this season is a car crash that we have survived. What is more critical are the next 7/8 weeks when Moshiri's blue print for our future is revealed and appointments made. Then players can be bought/sold/whatever and some element of control reintroduced with everybody on the same page.
The horror stories recently revealed (Paul Joyce) about the toxicity at Finch Farm give an unwelcomed insight at how far matters have deteriorated and it will take considerable time and effort for a new management team to firstly identify and then clear out deadwood players and coaching staff. Patience, many more millions of Moshiri's money and making sure the right people are in place before the World Cup starts. The sooner it starts the better and the starting point is paying up the managers contract and limiting the damage he is creating with this growing rift and division with the fans.

Sad days indeed. Horrible, clueless football from a team that consists largely of horrible, clueless footballers.
However, Mr Allardyce has met his targets and therefore earned his money this season.
A parting of the ways on the evening of May 13th would still be in the best interests of all concerned about the future of Everton Football Club.

He will be gone shortly I have no doubt.

I recall the time after the April 16 derby when people where checking every 5 minutes for news that Martinez was gone. They had to wait a month but the mood is exactly the same now and the club will oblige.

Just a matter of going through the motions now. Hopefully Brands in first, Allardyce and Walsh are effectively put on notice then.

I hope there doesn’t need to be a gap of more than 1-2 days max between out with the old and in with the new and they are just waiting for someone to finish the season, so announcements can be cooordinated. If not, that’s a very ominous sign for Moshiri and our future.

Allardyce will pass into history and be forgotten. Chelsea had interim managers, the RS have struggled to get the right man in, in fact all of the top 6 have failed somewhere down the line with managerial and DOF appointments.

I think it’s a time to be excited again so looking forward to the next few weeks.

Spurs had Sherwood ffs for a few months, ditched him and got Pochettino in the summer

The next couple of weeks will tell me alot about Moshiri has he learned from his mistakes . people have to be in place as soon as the manager and dof are binned off ,

Burnley need 2 points from 5 games to make Europe mathematically impossible for us. 4 dead rubbers remaining.

I’d sack Walsh, Sam & all his backroom staff tomorrow.

We can only pray that Moshiri has the new DoF & Manager lined up & ready to jump the minute their seasons are finished. Given Moshiri’s recruitment record so far, I’m not confident.

With nothing to play for he brings off a winger for a centre back leaving our two remaining forwards completely isolated. Our last shot was in the 47th minute or something. Terrible, terrible defeatist loser is Sam. Needs to be gone today, let alone in May.

To be fair, it was a good move in theory. Bolasie was doing nothing. A back 3 would release Coleman & Baines to push on.

The players don’t look interested. We need a clean sweep from board, DoF, Manager, but a good few of these players too.

I've just had the Everton game on the screens at the gym and saw for my own eyes exactly how poor we were.
If I was there in person, I would have been screaming blue murder at the imposter. Balls to what the Swansea or any other group of fans think of our supporters they themselves can only dream of having such passionate followers prepared to travel despite knowing what cack is likely to be served up.
I'm only sorry I can't be at our last home game to vent my fury at him if he's still in the hot seat.
