As if he’s a Leyton Orient supporter, his volume of posting looking to win up Everton fans is ridiculous, and he hates Mourinho. Kopite all day long.

You're barking up the wrong tree. But I'll leave it there anyway, just my opinion, I didn't intend to wind anyone up, looking for the self-delete button so I don't get tempted to post again. Or the mods can delete my account.

Good luck for next season!

Mate I’m not being funny but no Leyton Orient fan feels so strongly about Sam Allardyce that he’ll log into an Everton forum then spend a considerable amount of time writing long essays which essentially boil down to ‘you don’t deserve better than him’. We’ve been embarrassed enough this season without needing to be patronised as well.

Koeman was before the Silva saga, and the questionaire saga. And I don't remember Everton fans ever viscously hounding out any managers, the longevity of Moyes and the good send off you gave him would have given Everton a good rep as a great club to work at.

But perceptions can change very quickly, and with all due respect you aren't Chelsea. But Everton still have a good rep of being a 'proper' football club, so I don't think that is something you should throw away too lightly.

If you were going for 2 job interviews, both similar pay, both similar sized outfits.

But at 'company A', they have a good rep for giving you time to settle, giving you space to make mistakes because they realise mistakes are only human.

Or 'company B', where they could potentially leave you high and dry during negotiations, humiliate you, and what's more the customers might be liable to come in and treat like you dirt at the slightest mistakes...

I think you'd probably go for company A.

Everton will always be able to attract a certain calibre of manager, but the most sought after up and coming managers might have similar offers from similar sized clubs, and that's where your rep might come into play.

You've still actually got a good rep I think, negotiations break down all the time, marketing teams make mistakes, but if this Big Sam thing turns nasty, that could burn it into people's memories.
I didn’t realise you weren’t an Everton fan, Silly me.

It all makes sense now.

Hounding out a manager who is doing badly and failing is not really a massive problem, as it happens at almost every football club.

Hounding out a manager who has steadied the ship and dare I say it improved you in just 4 and a half months, might be an issue, as other talented managers might look at that and think "well, I'd need time and support if I joined Everton, so what happened to Big Sam could easily happen to me if I join them". When you add that in with the pulling out of the Silva deal saga (no one would want to be left high and dry if they enter into negotiations), and now this questionnaire saga where I think Big Sam is getting sympathy from the football world, other sought after managers might give Everton a wide berth from the off if they feel they can get just as good a job elsewhere (or nearly as good a job elsewhere).

I think Everton fans would be best advised now to keep quiet about Big Sam, at least at matches, and don't make a toxic atmosphere, otherwise it is going to make you look like West Ham and you'll end up burning this whole saga into people's memories. Give him a good send off if the opportunity arises. That would be the gracious thing to do.

And the club would be best advised not to release the results of that questionnaire, particularly if the results are bad for Big Sam, otherwise it is just going to look like you are further humiliating him.

I know a lot of Everton fans want him out as soon as possible, they probably want him humiliated, I get that, but you have to think of the meta-game here, the bigger picture.

Just my two cents.

They won`t mate, as anyone with a half a brain can see why things have turned nasty for Allardyce.

He`s brought a lot of it on himself, due to his " I know best, what do you know attitude ".

Plus the outright lies - " we were in the bottom three / we were below West Brom stuff ".

It`s impossible to humiliate him, as he`s created the myth of Sam Allardyce, football saviour and genius in his own head.

Any incoming manager, would look at our squad and ask themselves why, despite being safe, he`s still playing hoofball, with the players he has at his disposal.

Managers get much worse on the continent mate, it comes with the job.

Singing naughty songs at him isn`t going to put another manager coming off here

ALLARDYCE OUT! ALLARDYCE OUT! ALLARDYCE OUT! (AND ANY NEW MANAGER WILL GET A FAIR CHANCE...OOOH)

*Repeat till fade...

Ps - Which other teams forums do you post on, just out of interest ?

The opinion of fans is of course a consideration to be taken into account when it comes to hiring and firing a manager, but it is far from the only consideration and I would say far from the most important one.

The decision to keep Sam or sack Sam will be made after all the salient facts have been assessed and that , in my opinion, will be done by talking to a whole range of people involved with Everton.

Moshiri/board have known from the start that Sam was not wanted by the fans... so nothing has changed there.
Has Sam taken control of the squad or is the squad out of control... which I think was happening with RM in his last days.
Is there a good atmosphere around FF... we have heard that it is "toxic" but that certainly would be an important consideration.
I would think that people like Unsworth, Ferguson and other respected football people both within the club and outside will be consulted about Sam and what he has to offer going forward.
The vision offered by Sam will be hugely important, what players he wants to keep, which players are for sale.
What about the young academy graduates and their future... is it considered that Sam is serious about giving these players a future at the club... a factor I think is very important.
The football has not been good but Sam would be entitled to say that he came into the club and his job was to steady the ship, pick up points, consolidate the club in the premiership and next season he will focus on the style of play after making new signings and having a full season... will this be accepted ?
Is he likely to spend the money wisely ?.. because that has been an issue before his arrival.
The DOF of course will also have a huge part to say in this and at present we can only guess that Steve Walsh was in favour of hiring Sam, but will he still have the same role after the end of the season.. if not will the new man in that role have a different vision and a different manager in mind ?
Does Bill Kenwright have an input into this because I think that would be bad news for Sam.

I don't know the answers, but I think this is the kind of process that will be followed.

That decision must be known by now as the transfer window is so short this summer all clubs will need to be active just as soon as the season finishes.
My own view is that Moshiri wants to be a big player in the premiership... that won't happen with Sam.
I just don't think Sam has done in his five month audition to convince people that he should be kept longer.
