Obviously talk is cheap and we need to see it on the pitch, but I'm heartened by his comments here.

In large parts over the past few seasons, and obviously most particularly in recent months, we have looked like a rabble at times. Hard work is taken for granted but we haven't seen half enough of it from the players.

Agreed. Particularity in a 3. He is our best centre half in a back 3 by a mile.

Mind games mate, easiest way to lure them into complacency without kicking a ball. I’m sure privately Big Sam will be telling our boys we can match them, just need to cut out on individual mistake.
