At least Bascombe has put his weight behind the Brands story so we’re no longer just relying on the Mirror. You have to believe that things are being done behind the scenes and as I said yesterday, I’d wager that the DOF, CEO and new Manager are all more or less in place already.

What a massive difference that would do for everybody’s mood going in to the summer if Brands is appointed and immediately targeted the likes of Lozano, and a manager was appointed that had more or less universal approval (Fonseca?)

That would give us all so much more optimism for next season and actually enjoy watching the World Cup!

Hopefully mate and FS is surplus to requirements now

Well he certainly poisoned the reputation of Unsworth there. I hope this incident is soon forgotten about for Rhinos sake. Big Scam is an utterly vindictive small minded small time excuse for a human being.

A decent manager would have praised Unsworth for his work in a difficult situation regardless of what he actually thought. A decent manager would have produced a team and tactics that produced a competitive style of play which would have given the players and fans belief -- none of us expected 1970s Brazil, but we've hardly seen a glimpse of promise. A good manager would have borne the brunt of pressure and criticism as he enabled the players to gain confidence and brought the fringe players back into the fold with the chance to prove themselves- all I see are players being called deadwood and a core of players being played when they need changing but no competition for their place exists. A good manager would have praised the fans and club itself for its support and done his utmost to provide something that they could be proud of.

He had done nothing of that. His limited mindset was to get to 40 points and have an eff you mentality to anyone who thought that there was more to his job. We could have been in 7th under him if he'd had the cajones even after the stinker of a start we had. We could have been saying that he'd done a decent job if he'd been brave and not so narrow minded.

Get rid of this dinosaur. He has got to go. The sooner the better before he poisons the gravy addled well even more.

Big Scam out! End of.

"He was in for (eight) games and he was saying before the West Ham game, ‘get me out of this position, get a new manager appointed because I am struggling to cope and these players have got no confidence’. That is where I came from.”

I can't wait till he keels over and breathes his last breath.

Horrible cart. Get him out of my club.

I thought I was hallucinating when I read this. What a despicable creature he is.

Unsworth was out of his depth and too pally with the players, but this...

"He was in for (eight) games and he was saying before the West Ham game, ‘get me out of this position, get a new manager appointed because I am struggling to cope and these players have got no confidence’. That is where I came from.”

Is absolutely disgusting, why throw him under the bus?? Unsworth will have more love form the club then Allardyce will have from any of his clubs in the past or future.

Its like he is desperate to be sacked, he is going into full attack mode in every bloody interview.

Its proper embarrassing.

On film Sam stated he spent no more than minutes with the players and Unsy before the West Ham game as he was busy sorting his contract out - this claim is desperation and lies to keep his job - get rid asap worse football manager bent,, history of taking a bung as England manager and should never have been appointed!
He should have been banned from football for life!
