The comment about the players struck me. Unsworth - who they know and like - couldn't get the Everton Dressing Room Anarcho-Syndicalist brigade to respect him and the job he had to do, so imagine what any outsider manager faces.

They've seen off Martinez, Koeman, Unsworth and probably Allardyce. The next one in is a lamb to the slaughter. That will only change by getting shut of the arl arses: Baines, Jagielka, Williams, Rooney, Schneiderlin. Just end their contracts or sell them.

Someone should put that article on Every seat, there will be no happy clapper tonight.

All 40k at Goodison should stand up and in one voice shout (word I can’t say) Of Sam Allardyce

Everytime he opens his mouth he comes out swinging, and I think this will all make it easier for him to be removed. He has absolutely no tact whatsoever.

Having said that, I can't disagree too much with what he said about the West Ham game as he definitely influenced the way they played. It was Unsworth's win, but influenced to some extent by Allardyce in my opinion.

Plans are already in motion to show Billy liar on the big screen every 5 minutes to produce a facade of support....

Lets hope he is gone soon.

Otherwise I disagree. Unsworth was a caretaker manager. Allardyce has a fixed contract. Eitherway he is Everton manager and a spokeperson for the club and should act appropriately.

For me he has disrespected his position and the club and by no means for the first time.

I don't know how you or any Everton fan can just sit back and watch thus happen so dispassionately. I'm absolutely amazed at those that support such comment.

Everyones different I suppose.

Because I know its not a long term thing.

I have also seen Moyes talk us down like we were nothing (Knife to a gunfight stuff) and Koeman tell our best players they should move elsewhere and that the club was a stepping stone for him. It is nothing new to me.

Thing here is that you assume that just because I am not issuing a fatwa against him it means I support his comments. I don't, nor do I think he should ever have been appointed or do I want him to stay. I am just past caring because I have seen plenty of managers talk us down and say stupid stuff. I have also seen plenty of our managers set us up to get a draw etc yet Allardyce gets it worse than anyone.

I have said from the beginning he is a glorified caretaker and will be gone by the summer so none of this surprises me and as such does not rile me up. We have been an abomination for a quarter of century.

Maybe the West Ham game wasn’t down to Unsworth OR Allardyce. Maybe it was just down to West Ham being absolutely useless.

I mean, I’m firmly in the Unsy camp, but no one knows what it was.

Well, they weren’t “absolutely useless”.

For the first twenty minutes of the second half they tore us a new one and it took a penalty save from Pickford to keep them at bay and a worldie from Wayne to put us back in control :)

The West Ham game (or any win this season) isn’t really down to any manager. The pattern is the same, as soon as relegation becomes too close for comfort the players will raise their game to do the bare minimum required. They easily saw off West Ham Huddersfield Leicester Palace and Brighton in this exact manner. As soon as they get comfortable in mid table again they just bring the deck chairs back out. @davek ’s post above is correct. Until the boys holiday camp core of the club has been eradicated any manager will struggle.
