Signs, banners and chants? I’d have good money that there isn’t

Probably not large scale. There are already people posting signs they're making on Twitter though and anyone can make a singular sign which the Sky cameras will be on watch for. The away fans were chanting in the last game so that will translate into Goodison in a small way at least.

Nothing universal across the whole ground... unless we go a goal down or we're camped in the box again. Then it'll turn.

Blues, there's more chance we'll re-brand to a Celtic fan site for next season than Sam Allardyce being Everton manager next season.

It'll be Silva, unless Moshiri has had a drastic change of mind and allows Brands to select or reacts to short-termism fan sentiment an Fonseca.
Mate??

Someone should put that article on Every seat, there will be no happy clapper tonight.

All 40k at Goodison should stand up and in one voice shout (word I can’t say) Of Sam Allardyce

Or a couple of choruses of 'Sacked in the morning, youre getting sacked in the morning'

The players certainly abandoned Martinez by the end, although the manager has to be as culpable as the playing staff in that regard. As much as the likes of Baines et al ultimately refused to buy into Martinez's methodology there's also a case against the manager's inability to get the team in line.

With Koeman I'm not so sure. His heart was never in it: too arrogant from that start and lacking the kind of commitment we required. The players wouldn't have helped the issue but he was a poor appointment.

The Unsworth tenure was particularly disappointing. Not all, granted, but a lot of Evertonians expected at the very least to see an upturn in commitment from the players, which didn't really happen. It's at this stage that things appear most concerning. I don't doubt something close to 'chaos' was the norm around Finch Farm at this time and the performances were woeful. Moshiri and the board are also to blame here, though, as it was one of the most desperate and pathetic periods of attempted recruitment we've ever seen. Which brings us on to Allardyce.

Allardyce isn't being shifted out by the players. It was clear to everyone, including him, that he wasn't wanted. Moshiri and the board didn't want him and neither did the fans, and the appointment was, to be extremely generous, a circumstantially pragmatic one in a moment of panic. I don't think the players have particularly failed him, either, as we've performed pretty much exactly as an Allardyce side should. The key instigator's you've signalled out, Baines and Jagielka, have returned to the first team and played relatively well (emphasis on relatively) and there doesn't appear the kind of mutiny in the squad that was in the air around the Unsworth and late-Martinez periods. This was a big opportunity for Allardyce and he blew it by reverting to type. His narrative has attempted to sustain the myth he's been cultivating since he left Bolton but pretty much everyone sees through him now if they didn't before.

I'm all for a serious clear out this summer though. Certainly Williams and Schneiderlin should be shifted, while I don't think Rooney's own personal psychodrama over his deterioration needs to be played out at Everton any longer. I have no personal issue with Baines or Jagielka although one would imagine they will be phased out over the next 12 months if not sooner. There's easily another 5-6 names that could be added to the list.

Root and branch overhaul at board, coaching and playing level. That's the only option we have left and it's plain for anyone to see. If that fails to happen the blame sits squarely on Moshiri.

The players have been criticised by Allardyce all season for not playing the way "he wants them to play" - "I dont tell them to give the ball away" etc. They're doing the bare minimum and that is effectively getting shut of a manager...a manager they know is short term and unpopular with fans.

It might not be open revolt by OPENLY briefing the media, but they have definitley undermined Allardyce...and they did so with the previous two in terms of not putting it in.

You cant leave this core of senior blaggers in the squad. They will do for every manager that comes in.

The intention when we appointed Allardyce was Silva at the end of the season when he had a break/release clause with Watford which meant £0 compo for Everton should he walk.

Whether a bad run/his sacking has changed Moshiris mind, or his view on Walsh/new DOF changes things is up for debate.

Allardyce was only ever brought in until May - the contract length was Allardyce having EFC over a barrel and wanting a bigger pay off.

You still think Silva though? It's been quiet on that front for a while mate whilst all the noise has been around Fonseca lately, not just from the fans but the press too.

No intention of undermining the players' efforts tonight. I suspect those advocating demos at the match are probably mostly armchair warriors who can do what they like. Hurl abuse at the TV etc if it makes anyone feel better. But be careful in the pub. Meantime back at Goodison, it's us versus the loud mouth Geordies on the night. Hopefully we will win and in the next few days we will hear that EFC and Sam have parted company on good terms. (Big cheque and polite verbal praise). We move on.

You still think Silva is nailed on? It's been quiet on that front for a while mate whilst all the noise has been around Fonseca lately, not just from the fans but the press too.

No mate - the game changes so quickly and I think Moshiri is a bit guilty of short-termism and going for flavour of the month.

I think it's nailed on Allardyce was only ever brought in until the end of the season though.

he's had other offers and not taken them. Doubt anything has been pre-agreed but there is every chance he expects us to appoach him again when Allardyce is gone. Equally he may just be waiting for any premierleague job.

Praying you're right.

That's exactly what his interest in Silva was to begin with. He clearly knew nothing about him before he turned up in England.
