I disagree, as a fan base we have been far more patient than most. The board have shown over the last 2 years that stadium aside there is no long term plan (and decades before that too). Changes to manager or DOF over the summer are only rumoured, there has been no communication from the club (as other clubs have done in the past). The fans need to keep the pressure on the board to show them we will not accept mediocrity and stalling season after season.

No communication? They have just sent out a survey asking how the manager is doing.

Why give our plans away so someone else can jump in on them?

I love this accepting mediocrity thing. Its a massive jump to get above that, we have had 2 years of being somewhat able to compete with the "big clubs". And even then the gap is cavernous.

The board are not stupid (as much as you and others like to think they are) they will know the opinions of the fans already and whilst the changes may only be rumours they could (and should) be 100% true.

The changes will happen, they always were going to happen.

We had Kenwright coming out with ‘what a manager’ after two successive bottom half finishes from Martinez. He was fired because the fans made the situation untenable. Wenger is probably going a year earlier than he wanted because the fans stopped going to the game. Fan action focuses media attention and ultimately pressures the decision makers at clubs. They don’t have to respond but it’s a far better strategy than the clap clap clap clap that usually rings out around Goodison. Moshiri is a bit of an unknown quantity but in terms of Kenwright and Elstone the only two things that motivate them to do anything are relegation fear or extreme fan unrest.

Exactly. And we wonder how the board have got away with so little for so long...

On film Sam stated he spent no more than minutes with the players and Unsy before the West Ham game as he was busy sorting his contract out - this claim is desperation and lies to keep his job - get rid asap worse football manager bent,, history of taking a bung as England manager and should never have been appointed!
He should have been banned from football for life!

Any news from you`re source Joey ?

I have seen several posts on here about players being blamed for our recent managers losing their jobs... that says more to me about the managers than the players to be honest.

We all know what footballers can be like... if you can't control and manage them then you are in the wrong job.
Maybe not a complete coincidence that neither RM or RK went back into club management.

Regarding Sam. I believe that if he isn't gone before the last home game, then he probably isn't going.

Don't necessarily agree with that. Some players are complete and utter spoilt brats with the mentality of an angsty 10 year old. They're always going to be a problem to control, however it is up to the manager to fire them out of a cannon into the sea as soon as possible. As a club we've just been babysitting too many of these man-toddler nob heads for too long now.

No more than I posted that Sams contract would end at the end of the season from a good source -of course the developments last week of the poll Sam was unhappy about may change that outcome sooner one would hope - I feel Sam has called in Mosh for talks hence the Mosh is there tonight if we play crap tonight that may well end him sooner hopefully!
also the reaction of the fans tonight if we play dire football may also be a factor of him going before the end of the season!
If trying to throw Unsy under a bus is true he should be sacked tonight anyway imo!

At the end of the day there's no news here other than a horrible egotist opening his mouth, trying to make himself look better at somebody elses expense. Its not the first time and it sure wont be the last either. Its in his DNA.

Unsworth told us when questioned after the West Ham game, he picked the team and tactics but the new manager had a few munutes with the players before the match. Allardyces latest relevations only confirm this, but in a way that insults Unsworth. Those that believed Unsworth should take credit for that match will be unmoved, as will those who believed that it was down to Allardyces influence. This outburst will change nothing.

What it has done is dropped Unsworth in it from a great height and the guy will be feeling about 6 inches tall this morning. Why did he do it?. Well Allardyce will get little if any credit for the statement and part if him will have known this. So the only reason would have been to hurt Unsworth and Allardyce must feel the guy has wronged him in someway.

It's just another example of why the man shouldn't be our manager and I'm waiting for the apologists to come out in support.

As regards Unsy. The best thing the fans can do is to show our support, starting with tonights game.

He`s made out that Unsworth was almost close to breaking point and he arrived just in time, to stop him falling to pieces lol

Others have mentioned that he may be a Sociopath, but I`d say that he`s leaning much more towards having a " God Complex ".

He`s been allowed to create this myth about himself and in his head it`s developed to a point, where he genuinely thinks that the stuff he says is true.

Nobody, other than fans of the various clubs he`s been at, ever call him out, over his outright lies and his attacks on anyone around him, who dares to criticise him.

I`d love a decent journo, like Bascombe or the lad from ESPN, to get a proper no holds barred interview with him and expose the miriad of lies he`s peddled about himself over the years.

Never going to happen though, as he never lets anyone that can expose him for what he is, get near him.

Thats Unsworths chance of ever getting the big mans job gone now he's been found out to have gone crying to Fat Sam ha ha.

I wish the board would just make a statement this week that we'll be parting ways. Even if we havent got a Wenger /Fonesca signed up we will always still appoint someone like Silva if needed. Just give him tonight's game then announce by the weekend he wont be staying on past the season and that we are beginning a search for a new long term appointment.
