I’ve just realised that that since I started going the match in 1997, I’ve wanted: Smith, Moyes, Martinez, Koeman and now Fat Sam sacked.

Surely after all we’ve been through we’ll get a manager that will actually make us good again?

Happens at every club, no matter even he was successful at some point.

As the Arsene Wenger saga shows.

There is a sell by date.

To paraphrase Enoch Powell, all football managerial careers are destined to end in failure :)

Thats Unsworths chance of ever getting the big mans job gone now he's been found out to have gone crying to Fat Sam ha ha.

I wish the board would just make a statement this week that we'll be parting ways. Even if we havent got a Wenger /Fonesca signed up we will always still appoint someone like Silva if needed. Just give him tonight's game then announce by the weekend he wont be staying on past the season and that we are beginning a search for a new long term appointment.
Beginning the search?? With respect I would expect this to have started months ago, but knowing our board it won't have. Please moshiri...not Silva..another with relegation potential.

Corruption comes in many forms, not all of it falls under the bracket of criminal law.

If he was in any other industry, he`d have been ruined for life.
But it isn't and he wasn't so what's the point of continually bringing it up.he's fat and lives on Bisto, isn't that enough?

We were all queueing up to see Catterick and Kendall sacked too! Proves beyond a shadow of a doubt what know-nothing blerts we all are! ;)

Don't necessarily agree with that. Some players are complete and utter spoilt brats with the mentality of an angsty 10 year old. They're always going to be a problem to control, however it is up to the manager to fire them out of a cannon into the sea as soon as possible. As a club we've just been babysitting too many of these man-toddler nob heads for too long now.
I do believe it all comes down to the strength and personality of the manager. I think most of the successful managers now are big strong personalities in their own right.

Good point that...Harry was attacked for dropping Alex Young in favour of Joe Royle before an away game at Blackpool and prior to a league cup tie v Coventry in '83 (I think) there were leaflets handed out calling for Howard to be sacked However I think our present situation is somewhat different...;)

Will you not let anyone say a bad word about him?

I get your protests over the Bisto and weight thing as ridiculous a thing I think it is for you to get arsey about but having a go at others for rightly reminding people that this utter divvy cocked up his best job within weeks by being a corrupt weasel of a man?

Nah, I can't understand why you'd be defending that.

What really strikes me about the Bascombe article is how little purpose it served Allardyce other than allowing him to engage in a nasty little example of character assassination.
I appreciate they seemingly don't get on which may be the source of the poor atmosphere rumours. But as a professional surely this is something you don't sort out via the national press?
Unless it was a venal parting swipe at a victorious enemy?

Because I know its not a long term thing.

I have also seen Moyes talk us down like we were nothing (Knife to a gunfight stuff) and Koeman tell our best players they should move elsewhere and that the club was a stepping stone for him. It is nothing new to me.

Thing here is that you assume that just because I am not issuing a fatwa against him it means I support his comments. I don't, nor do I think he should ever have been appointed or do I want him to stay. I am just past caring because I have seen plenty of managers talk us down and say stupid stuff. I have also seen plenty of our managers set us up to get a draw etc yet Allardyce gets it worse than anyone.

I have said from the beginning he is a glorified caretaker and will be gone by the summer so none of this surprises me and as such does not rile me up. We have been an abomination for a quarter of century.
I havent assumed anything mate. In fact I actually asked you what you thought and you said you basically couldnt be arsed.

You mention Moyes and Koeman. But Allardyce has probably in the space of 5 months, disrespected the club players and fans, twice as much as the other 2 did in their entire stints as manager.

I also am not surprised at anything he says or does, but that doesnt stop me getting worked up by it.
