It's so weird with so much money flying around these days. You'd think the richest league would be the best. Far from it. We really should be in actual trouble this year, yet here we sit in 8th.
is there even a great team in europe right now? la liga is way off what it was a few years ago, pep ruined bayern, the italians are tactically smart but living off the older pro's

There is no way will he be here next season lads. Too much has happened especially the last couple of weeks. We are way past the point of no return now. A very boring and awful to watch 1 - 0 win at home against a very poor Newcastle side (poor on the night) with Allardyce coming out afterwards and calling it excellent is going to do nothing to change that, it will only reinforce it. Every time the camera looked over at Moshiri, his face was expressionless and he looked he was struggling to stay awake just like the rest of Goodison.

His ship has sailed and the club will make an announcement in the next week or so saying he will be leaving at the end of the season and thanks and good luck etc.

I'm an atheist and I'll be praying for that.

City looked like they had a chance of being great. They bottled that.

Yeah not really right now. Some good teams but really no great ones.

Son said on the way home that it feels like a defeat...Horrendous atmosphere...Hes sucking the life outta us...1 kin shot on goal in 90 kin minutes at home against a kin woeful Newcastle side...I kin hate going the game these days...
Rubbish, you obviously did not go and your son needs a pair of better glasses. Newcastle came nowhere near beating us. Two poor sides, of which we were the better side until MOM Schneids had to go off. Bringing Davies on starting us losing the ball too often. The atmosphere was OK and far from horrendous. No demos, no anti Allardyce chanting and Newcastle fought hard to defend with 10 men and could have got away with a 0-0 draw.

We were slightly less crap than they were. We deserved to win just about. But not a good game and a very bad advert for the league considering it was 2 top half teams.

Can honestly say that was one of the most boring matches I have ever been to. BFS talking on the radio about dominating the game and having 80% possession (official figures say 57%) - he really is totally deluded. One shot on target all match, absolutely no atmosphere in the ground and he states that the fans are right behind him and the team . Newcastle fans made their feelings towards Allardyce very clear, but not a peep from us - hope lack of protest does not mean we're in danger of him staying.

Oreet Bill.

Listen nobed havent missed a game at home in years...all about opinions...kin atmosphere was [Poor language removed].. there was no kin chanting as every fukka is drained...Ok Sam

that city side would finish 3rd at best in the late 90's, viera and petit would run right through them, definitely the most lop sided the prem has been though, we are the proof of that

I guess that's a bit of hope to hang our hats on. Get the right manager in and a couple of decent signings and suddenly you are winning the league with players like Vardy and Mahrez leading the line.

The atmosphere was OK

You must have watched a different game to me: you could hear a pin drop for most of the game, the fans have had all the enjoyment drained out of them by the dismal quality of the football. ONE shot on target, which is one more than we usually muster.

Walcott must despair, coming from the triangle-playing, pass-and-move academy of Arsenal. We started the 2nd half in the same way as we played much of the first - by launching a long ball (this time at the head of Walcott, of all people!).
We scraped past an abysmal Newcastle team, despite almost conceding near the end. Not long now till he is gone...
