Just sent off a few texts to red friends who had cockily told me to expect a cricket score today. So satisfying :-) . Unsworth's done a great job at u23 but we'd have gotten hammeded if he was still in charge.
It wasn't pretty. We offered almost nothing offensively. But Sam's organised a defensive rabble into something solid against all the odds. Great job so far however unglamourous.

Can’t believe some of the sh1te spouted on here!

What do you expect with a back 4 with 2 kids, a donkey & a Sunday league player, and no real striker??? And against an on form Liverpool...

Pickford hardly had a save to make. If Cuco the clown hadn’t fallen over, we could well have kept a clean sheet. I’d call that a masterclass.

Now give the man chance to put right Koeman’s foley in January before passing sentence.
Stop talking sense mate.

The big question for me is how he spends a decent budget and manages a team with expectations of getting into Europe. He’s clearly tactically astute, but it’s the unknown for him in that regard.

A point against a team who just put 7 past their previous opposition is a good result. We looked assured in defence.

Imagine if we had a decent striker and a midfielder who could make things happen...
