Has he been sacked yet?
I think they will say they had agreement to go at end of season,if he is going hopefully, but that still does not stop Everton from saying it now, which i dont get [if he is going],saying it now will not stop us getting euro place or effect performances etc, and has no effect on anything.it would be good if Everton at least give us something to cheer

Sam will have his morning with the media tomorrow. This season is long since dead for most issues. We know the champions, the top four and even the top seven.
Relegation hasn't been sorted, but it is probably down to four, maybe five clubs and will likely be the bottom three.

I would like the questions for Sam tomorrow to focus on the future, the transfer window, next season.. where does he think we can finish etc. I would ask about Funes Mori, Jon joe Kenny , Vlasic and why in games that are meaningless is Sam not learning about fringe players for next season.
I have no doubt the decision about who will manage Everton next season is long since made. The transfer budget is known and the transfer targets are known. I just don't believe that it is decided by one bad result or one good result.
Their was a plan put in place that included Sam for Six months or eighteen and really nothing has happened since then that has surprised us a lot.

I think there are managers out there that if they became available for us then Sam would be sacked but I don't think they include Silva or Fonseca.. I think the days of us being risk takers with managers may be gone.
I think that's a fair summing up. Moshiri has been totally clueless in the managerial stakes since he came here. He's made a relatively ambitious appointment (Koeman) and a populist one (Unsworth) both of which have backfired badly. He defied the fans many of whom threatened blue murder if Allardyce was appointed. Where on earth does he turn from here? Surely its time to stick rather than twist again, especially when you have a less than stellar track record in managerial appointments.

3 points from his last 3 games sees us finish with a higher points total than the last 2 seasons of Martinez’s ‘entertainers’.

And yet.

Both those last two Martinez seasons offered more in the line of “entertainment” and kept us involved a heck of a lot longer than the first weekend of January

Lies....darned lies....and statics, eh wot Dom :)

That stat could almost convince us this season was better than any of those two

It would not surprise me if that is the case.
Moshiri quite possibly sees Sam as having been a solid appointment, after the disasters that went before.
If Brands does come to the club then in time I think he will be allowed to make the big decisions.
I think Sam will not be here longer than June 2019, assuming we don't appoint Emery or Blanc or LVG in the meantime.

I think there is a possibility as well we could see a young coach, a Rooney or an Arteta, a young coach rated by Brands come and work with Sam for a season and take over when Sam moves on

Arteta is going to leave Pep to become Big Sam's number 2????

I've heard it all now hahaha lol

Congratulations, I thought that @Zatara had won today`s mad post prize, by saying that Alien was better than Aliens.

However you`ve somehow managed to out do him, by the mere fact of mentioning Arteta and Allardyce in the same sentence.

Bravo sir.

I doubt decisions have already been made for next season, when there are still a number of unanswered questions.

Brands is he coming? and then what happens to Walsh. Abd does moshiri trust Walsh after last summer.
A new manger would surely have different targets to sam. Sam Said in his presser a few weeks back things were going on behind the scenes for next season. And it sounded like at that time he wasn’t involved.

Also you mention not going for Fonseca, even though his name keeps coming up from well respected journalist’s and a guy on twitter who by all accounts is well connected. Abd I think he broke the story about all not being well at Finch Farm. Has said Fonseca is at the top of the list.

So who would you like as manager? that’s not a so called risk.
