If he had been told he was staying, there is absolutely no way he would have reacted the way he did. The man runs on ego and he would of made a big thing about it including wise cracks about surveys, boasting, trolling etc. He wont be here lads and he knows it. You could tell by his mannerisms, speaking without conviction, looking down, wanting to get off the subject quickly, being shirty when asked again etc. The Clarity is that he knows he hasnt got the backing and wont be here after the end of the season.

So he's been told he's staying?
I don't think that's what's been said to him only his future is clearer.
I am starting to worry.

Very downbeat performance from Allardyce, much less spin from him than I expected. Gave a dead bat to questions about the future, just platitudes about all being on board together etc. Very vague about transfer targets. None of his usual ebullience, following the meeting yesterday, as he knows he is going (in my opinion).

I'm clinging onto the hope that had Farhad told him he's set to stay next season he would have been shouting it from the top of the Liver Building.... not being all cagey and cryptic in a presser. When he mentioned them being on the same page it's probably about his payoff.
probably the same page where the survey gave him 1 out of ten!lol
