So there we have it. If we stick with Allardyce we can look forward to someone that wants to maintain 7th or 8th for next season, zero ambition and completely taking the wee wee. Just dont know how any supporters can want that for Everton. His main aim of that PC was to wind up the supporters. This minority nonsense needs to be rammed where the sun doesn't shine tomorrow so that he can never use it to insult us again. I am not optimistic though as there are just so many happy clappers at Goodison who will be happy and applaud no matter what happens.
I don't even blame him. He never had ambition but to survive. I blame the helmets who continue to employ someone, after doing what he'd said he'd do, are content with their lot.
The real problems we face are at board level. Unfortunately, they don't tend to sack themselves for ballsing it up year after year.

“Looking to maintain 8th place next season.”

Not doing himself any favours whatsoever. Get the negative knob out of our club.

I don’t like him, never have done, but that’s not what he said. He was asked about pushing for top 4/6 and said we came 7th last season, 8th at the moment and “we want to try and maintain that position, that 8th In The league” but he was talking about this season as there are still games left. He then goes on to talk about positions will be dependent on players incoming. If you are going to quote him, don’t do it like journalists and change the words.

Fantastic to see somebody with a bit of ambition at our club.

No, wait...

He was clearly talking about maintaining that this season as there are still games left. I don’t like him but needs to be some context to it.

Sam himself says he's like Simeone. Can you see him competing in Europa league semi-finals. Pushing Barcelona or Madrid in the league. Outwitting Wenger. Who he thinks he is and what his actual talents are, they're worlds apart. Southampton is going to be a tough game according to his presser. At home?

Downplaying expectations, it's not so much as bringing a knife to a gunfight but a handbag. This limp wristed, cowardly approach will never sit well with Evertonians, especially at home. Every side beneath us that we play will be a monumental challenge and when we win, well that's just Sams magic. Facing a top six side, well besides the acceptable losses, that's a free pass.

Everything about him and the club for that matter, screams, we'll settle for this. We won't though.
Neither will Nev or anyone else who wants the best for this club.

Leicester are four points behind us, have three games left, two of which are against Arsenal and Spurs. There's not much chance of them overtaking us, even if we manage to 'Everton' the next two games.
Equally why would he be talking about (further) recruitment to maintain our position this season?

Agreed. He's clearly talking about next season. It's quite obvious.
