I know he’s obv in charge of tactics but at what point do the players start sharing some of the blame for the poor football? They’re the ones making the on-field decisions.

That's Sam's mo- focuses on the containment/defensive side but relies on players instincts in attack. Problem is if a player is just told where to be to defend then they're not going to get forward too often. T's balance. What's the strategy to undermine saints? Contain and counter? Fine, we know they need the points let them get desperate and hit them but I'm not even sure he's set up for that

There is absolutely no guidance though. Just look how isolated they all are. That doesn't happen by chance.
Our players have lacked basic movement and looked isolated for as long as I can remember. No manager has really changed that.

Small time happy clapper would surely celebrate surviving the first half without conceding against a bottom 3 team at home and Long may it continue next season.

Are you kidding? Even last year we played with so much more zip. Moyes had our full backs bombing on and ripping teams apart at home, Martinez for all his flaws had us playing good stuff going forward.

This is the WORST football we've had since Walter Smith and at least back then we didn't have a penny to our name.

Not arguing we're crap right now mate but martinez is the only manager we've had in my time who had us playing decent footy. Even then the players barely moved or made runs.

We never ever play through the middle either

Ps. The football under koeman was exactly the same as this but we had barkley and lukaku to score goals

So the manager who picks the team and tactics has no role in it? I accept many of our players are cowards or not good enough but you can still implement a style. Why should we keep him on if he can't do that? He could buy anyone he'd still have these negative tactics and mindset.

Not defending sam mate just pointing out we've been crap for as long as I can remember really.

Oh come off it, Moyes teams were so much better than this it's untrue. The players at least had an idea of what their roles were in the attacking third. Just think about the Pienaar and Baines combination we had together with Coleman bombing on. This team has none of that.

I suppose if you're happy with just the results then obviously Sam being here next year isn't a problem. If you're bothered about how those results are obtained, which I suspect, is the major point in the out argument, then Sam starting next season is a problem. It seems people at the game are fed up of being bored and they've every right to be.
Ive can read some cr*p on here about BFS. People need to remember why he was brought in. He AGAIN inherited a failing squad and AGAIN has done a minor miracle without a huge amount of money. He needs time to get rid of the rubbish and money to bring in better and more COMMITTED players. If he doesnt get it then the only way to keep the club up is with clean sheets and the football the players he has got are capable of ffs!
