someone on radio saying sams done brilliant job and doesnt know why fans are giving him abuse,i must be blind,,goes on about look at the other teams sam has been in charge are now etc -honestly give up lol

I've been watching Everton since Cenk Tosun signed with them. You may say anything you want about Sam Allardyce, his style of football is awful, but this team does not have talented players to go beyond what they are now. It looks like they are playing every game without mid-fielders. Excellent goalkeeper, so so defense, lonely striker and a good Walcott... that's about it. This time lucky, next time in relegation zone.

Fair assessment, but you have to take into account that two of the midfielders are defensive mids that shouldn’t be on the field together in the first place. That is on Allardyce. He doesn’t set up to win games.

True to form, all the players fault and not his. What a horrible human being he is. And to think that some people (not many thank goodness) actually want this man to be in charge of Everton again next season. Watching absolute dross week in, week out, lying and blame shifting must be some new kind of fetish.

To cap it off, half the call-ins to radio Merseyside were kopites pretending to be blues saying that Allardyce has done brilliant.

1 more game to go with hopefully a club announcement before it.

It was an anguishing performance to stand and watch the players.

"They have worked extremely hard from the day I have walked into the club and to now, But look at the record and the results they have achieved. We have nicked something out of it we didn't really deserve today.

"We didn't have much to play for other than to try to entertain the fans in the final home game and we haven't done that.

"The loss of Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Gilfi Sigurdson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin - that's a lot. But the lads who stepped in, as hard as they tried, didn't match up to the levels of those other guys.

"Southampton will be really disappointed but that's the game. You have to play to the last minute and we did that. Our passes let us down.

"At the end of the day when you play at home you play to win and entertain the crowd. Our passes were going astray but I haven't seen that in a long, long time. The players will have to say to themselves it wasn't their best performance but they kept going.

"We have come a long way, but not with this performance, but with getting results. If we are going to get better, we need change."

Called him Dominic Calvert Llewelyn the fat mess.

The results have been ok, but clearly a lot of the games could have gone either way. Looking at things in the round we need an overhaul of players and a manager with a long term vision. Keep sam and we’ll potentially be in for a repeat of this season, or possibly worse.

He is what he is, and he’s good at galvanising teams to get out of trouble. That’s it.

Hello mate, we don't do relegation so do not worry in the slightest about us going down next season. Maybe if we stopped replacing quality players like Lukaku with the completely average player you're so fond of we would be in a far better position.

Fair play though, £30m for Tosun. You have robbed us extremely well.
