Keep the faith lads.
We aren't that far off. Two or three Walcott quality signings, a couple of youngsters developing and I believe we can challenge Arsenal next season.
Oh, and leave in 7 days please Sam.

I think Sam can rightly say that he did a good job in getting the team out of the relegation battle or has everyone forgotten how bad
we were for example at Soton away, for example. People were saying that we might actually go down if things were not sorted. And Fat Sam
reacted. He's also made a couple of decent signings.

My argument is that he has failed to build on his success. That his team is lacking in pace, ideas, youth and goals. LFC have scored more goals in Europe this season than EFC have scored in the League! Midfield is an ideas-free zone. Scherderlein is not good enough, Rooney over-the-hill,
Gueye is a defensive midfielder not a creative player, etc. Today was another example of how poor we are in possession, how there is no plan,
no system of playing. A new manager might just solve the riddle of how to make a half-decent team out of this mess of a squad. Sam has had his chance and failed.

First job for the new bloke: a no. 10 who can play alongside Tousun and who can hold the ball up.

Couldn't agree with you more. He did the job he came in to do. The football has been abysmal and he could have bought a bit of good will by trying something different as soon as it became apparent we were safe. He could have changed the players, taken a few risks but the only time he's done that was yesterday.

He's not covered himself with glory with what he's said in the press and his general attitude towards the club, fans and players. He's the main man. Much the same as koeman. There's no doubt in my mind we were in serious trouble when he came in, we could hardly string a pass together and conceded for fun. Our defense was probably the worst in the league at the time and we were taking a hiding regularly. He quickly got points on the board, whether that was down to him or the players just pulling their fingers out who knows.

He should have tried to extend beyond what he knows and done something a little different, I don't know maybe try and play some actual football to try and win the doubters over once we were safe. He had that opportunity and he's had an abundance of players to choose from that havent featured this season but he reverted to type even when he didn't necessarily need to which is exactly why he had doubters in the first place.

We need more than percentage balls down the channels and defensive negative football. I'm 100% sure he won't be here at the start of the new season, he got a short term contract in the first place and it was blatantly obvious he wasn't moshiris main choice for the job. He's done the bare minimum in keeping us up. That's it. He's only got himself to blame when he's shown the door but will undoubtedly play the "I saved them" card.

BFS is capable of telling his players to just sit back and kick the ball long. Its not that any other manager isnt also capable of that, its that most, because of their ethics, are probably unwilling to stoop that low. So yes, hes done his job in telling them that over and over again. But he was never and will never be any more than that, and any other manager could have done the same job if they could justify it to their conscience. Theres nothing hes taught the players, nothing hes come up with tactics wise thats smart, hes simply been successful in his amazing willingness to ruin a beautiful game. Now that hes done that, his job is done.

Anybody saying hes staying has just been a WUM since this started.

I feel like if he put as much effort into actually developing a playing style as he does into winding people up, being a master spin doctor and masturbating to the image he's built of himself in his head, then we'd have the most accomplished manager to ever have lived

Amazing all these pundits saying what a great job Sam has done. Makes you wonder, with only a year left on his contract, why none of them are touting him for the Arsenal job. What would their answer be to that suggestion, I wonder?
These same pundits predicted we would be pushing for a C/L place this season. 8 months later they’re saying what more do we want, we can’t get any higher and Everton fan’s expectations are too high?

With alladyce in charge all season we might have.

He's not a great manager by any stretch, but he has improved us and is capable of guiding us top 6 in a full season.

We would still see terrible football and boring games though

What has he improved???

The only thing that improved our results was the return to fitness of Baines and Coleman. Nothing to do with allardyce.
