Never understood why the camera goes to him more than other prem club chairman, the theatrics I suppose.

As inblanced as our squad is, I genuinely believe a better coach could have got better football out of it, trusting the likes of Lookman and Klassen more would have helped. As would a more attacking mindset and better coaching. Trumpeting 8th is a joke when our points total is about Martinez's final season's haul and when we played Burnley away, despite how average we have been we could have leapfrogged them with a win. So our position says more about the league than us. There's the top six and everyone else is currently average to poor. Yes Sam steadied the ship when we were a shambles but we need new direction desperately to improve. Or I fear our decline will continue.

Totally disagree because the proof of Fat Sam stifling our attacking intentions have been there for everyone to see. The huge gap between midfield and the striker is unbearable

The 2 wingers are now drilled to fall back on top of our fullbacks as soon as possession is lost, hence the massive gap and gap and lack of options when we try and break after winning possession back

If people actually think that a half competent manager couldn’t have added dimension and some creativity in January then we truly are stuck in the mindset of what Moyes and Kenwright built: that we should be grateful for being in the PL

DCL, Mirallas, Rooney isn't an attack. Which is what we started out with.

That gulf between midfield and defence was there before Sam came in because that's the squad.

We spent a huge amount of money and still needed a left back, a striker, and a central midfielder. There's no link player between midfield and attack.

We brought in Tosun and Walcott, very good buys. But the defensive and midfield problems are always there. We have a bad aging defence, zero central midfielders, and a lot of defensive midfielders.

Additionally, what do you expect in January? Did you think if we got Silva in we would've given him lots of money in January to fix it?

No. End of the day, Koeman's replacement had to be a stop gap manager IMO.

I can't see how anyone could see Koeman's replacement being someone who'd come in after a false start and make us look like a £300mill team. Because it's not.

Don't forget Sandro and Niasse.

When he leaves he will be hailed as the greatest, the media allies will be pushing that , I have no doubt.

If we improve, he started it all. If we don’t, he is sorely missed.

That’s the way I see it happening, more about him than the club itself.

That's it for me he makes EVERYTHING about him. We need a manager who thinks about the team/clubs interests first.
