Some people really do have a low opinion of Everton.... Everton is a great job , and with the transfer funds available , And new stadium on the way... a lot of top class managers would jump at the chance to manage in the premier lge.... it's just our recruitment process was an utter shambles

Not at this point of the season they wouldn't.

Pre season, fresh slate, money to spend etc, sure people would go for it. You would have more options then too.

Going to be interesting how much of a look-in Niasse gets now, I have a funny feeling not much with Allardyce.

if he watched last night then you'd think Niasse is a shoe-in; Unsworth (admittedly against an awful West Ham) showed he at least finally realised where it is people should actually play, and Oumar is much more of a threat than DC-L is.

Haters of Allardyce just won't see this.He obvously isn't what we want,but just maybe what we need at this point in time.As for those who say he left previous clubs with dross,that was levelled at Martinez,Koeman allegedly got rid of them.....and now he's left us with another far more expensive load.

While there are many safc who stick up for him (and you have to respect their views) there's always two sides to a story. A cautionary tale from rtg......

Read similar on here with reference to Koeman and Martinez. Not saying he won't buy crud but all managers do to greater or lesser extents

Think even if he had resigned mate it still wouldn't have been that simple, I'm sure Watford could have still blocked him coming to us because at the end of the day they still held his contract, so they could have just put him on gardening leave. It may pushed them though into accepting our compensation package offer, the way Watford dug in though (something I actually admired) that wouldn't have been a given.

True but there still seem to be posters who think we had the pick of the avaible pool of top class managers.The fact that the main ones mentioned are at the moment in employment seems to have slipped past them.And as for Simeone being mentioned...a laugh that will last me through Xmas.
