It is interesting though that Moshiri when he has sacked managers (I know its only been 2) dumped them with little/no warning at slightly odd times of the season (Martinez 1 game before the end of the season, Koeman Monday after training)

This doesn't seem to be happening here. He hasn't pulled punches before, why has he started now?
Beautiful

Just back. I reckon we all know he’s gone....players, fans, media so pointless talking about the inevitable. There’ll be statements here and there, he’ll front it up and say he did more than could ever have been expected with the position he inherited. Anyone who takes an objective view will recognise that he did the bare minimum. Favourable fixtures and massive slices of luck against Watford, Bournemouth and Neecastle presented a veneer of acceptability. His downfall was his arrogance and bullish approach to taking on alll comers who saw through the pathetic Big Sam Act and questioned real progress. But that’ll be for others to comment on after they digests what really happened this season.

The venom towards Allardyce has defelected responsibility away from Moshiri and the decision makers who sit in silence having seen what we’ve seen this year and The Players!!! OMG have I never seen such collective ineptitude as we’ve seen this year.

They have escaped so much rightful derision, the Manager gets loads and rightly so, but the Mersey Mercenaries don’t get off free either in this fiasco. You can’t have a squad of 38+ and have 11 more disinterested wannabe’s go through the motions each week. Perhaps a couple are exempt from that charge, but not many - perhaps Pickford, Seamus and at times Walcott, Gana and the Tosun/Niasse axis. Through in reasons for younger lads underperformance but there is a whole group of pretenders in our squad who hide and think what is happened this year is everyone else’s responsibility.

We lack so many of the real qualities in a professional team to be successful it won’t be an overnight fix. Maybe there is a good team in there, it has shown glimpses on occasion, but that ain’t good enough. Be a tough period this with everyone expecting more and loads of finger pointing about why we are so bad....need to regroup, cool heads and start again with a clear plan of what we are going to do next on the field. We ain’t one or three players short, we are six or seven in different positions and different stages of their development. We are sleepwalking to nowhere at the moment.

Last paragraph is spot on mate..

You know what, I don't mind waiting for competing or challenging for European slots..I just ( I think we all ) just want to see a plan, a goal, a target we are all striving for. We are miles behind the top 6, so lets get rid of the absolute crap we've bought and start again.

I honestly think we need to get rid of 10-15 players, need about 6 top players, 4/5 better quality squad players and that ain't happening this summer that's for sure.

Punt Allardyce, Walsh, Lee, shake up the board, Moshiri needs to start leading from the top both vocally and with actions and shift out the crap that simply aren't giving us the bare minimum of 100% desire and commitment to play for Everton Football Club

They do my head in Macca. Fed up of everyone having an opinion on Everton in the media, opposition fans and every other no mark who thinks I’m interested in what they have to say.

Up to Everton - and by that I mean Moshiri as it stands - to do his job. Make the big decisions, the ones he had paid millions to have the privilege of making, say what’s happening, then we can all chirp in. I’d like to think he will make some moves of serious intent this week, from boardroom to dugout. Then we turn attentionto the even privileged to wear our shirt.

Be another big week.

Not sure how I did it Macca - my response is embedded in your reply above. Should have just said I agree!!!

One name surprisingly abscent from that list.... Wenger.

Mr brother is a trader for Sky Bet, he's just told me that they've had it confirmed to them this evening that he will be announced as our next manager at around 1pm tomorrow, and are therefore not offering a price for him *

* this may or may not be true. I have a very active imagination
Thought exactly the same about Wenger not being listed. Strange.

Securing a successor first this time?

The one positive once Rooney and allardyce and co leave is that there is foundation's for something to actually be built here. As much as we call the players for everything, there is lots of potential for a better manager.

Senior players - tosun, niasse (sub) , Walcott, gueye , (old) schneiderlin, Coleman, pickford, siggurdson are all good enough to build a team with. Maybe not all at the same time but there is talent in there to start to bridge a gap between us and arsenal in the near future.

Young players - Davies, lookman, vlasic, begnamine, Kenny, joe Williams, holgate plus anyone else in the academy are a potential for the future. May not all make it but there is potential there for good players to come through over the next 3 years

Plus in sandro and klassen we have unknown quantities. They may be moved on in the summer, they may demand to be moved on but a new manager could get something out of them if come September they chose to stay.

So the rebuild job isn't as major as it seems, new players need to come in and a new manager needs to implement their plans on the squad. So on the brink of a new beginning again at the club, probably time to think positive again because otherwise we will be dead inside
