I just hope they don't 'down tools' in reaction to not getting a Christmas party. It would not surprise me if they did.

nah, they never down tools on a manager who is in a position of strength. Don't impress and he can forcibly disrupt your familys life by moving you on.

As I said the other day mate, Everton fans are easily pleased.

I was made up with the point, and more so because of the RS's reaction to it all, but for some to say everyone battled and defended brilliantly is ridiculous. What I saw (for most of the game) was us terrified of them, and not being able to string 2 passes together.

I think it was the right strategy but there was still an element of luck. Williams diving in and the defence melting for the Mane chance, Martina's wild clearance, the Salah header etc.

While on the whole we defended well, the complete inability to trap, control or pass the ball was alarming. Needs must but that simply won't be tolerated moving forwards.

Apart from the Williams idiot moment the main thing that impressed me was that just after the goal we didn't fold completely. The plan was clearly to stick to defending even if we went behind and to be fair they pretty much managed it. For too long now we'd concede and then collapse as the so called leaders proved they were anything but.

I know all players are encouraged to avoid unnecessary media and social media at the best of times, but they dont. So Christmas party ban should come as no surprise. Any downing of tools would be the end their playing days at Goodison, if so good riddance!

Agree it was the right way to set-up mate, problem was we just kept giving the ball back to them when we did eventually get hold of it, and playing Niasse out wide then just hoofing it up to him at every opportunity didn't make sense, either play him in the middle (where he is a handful for centre- halfs) if not, then stick Lennon out there instead.

The thing that cheeses me off is the way we always show them too much respect, we literally just stand there in awe of them, I'm surprised our players don't start applauding them when they start to run rings round us!

Shame we don't have an Andy Gray type. He was vicious and we could whack it up to Andy's chest, would have been a perfect day to be hanging around their place after a win. It'd be goodnight ladies.
