Points on board. Survive. Keep shape. Win home matches. Possible fa cup run. Re iew next summer. Delighted with wjat rhis lad has come in and done to a utter mess of of team that had be ome and embarassment to our club. We are not an embarassment anymore. Teams wont like playing us. They will dread playing us. Im happy with that till summer and we should be thanking this big lump of a manager for getting us out of the mess. Thanks sam. We have a chat next summer and see how it goes.

If you are telling me that beyond May there are better management candidates out there for Everton that will spend Mosh's money wisely, create a football team to be proud of and give us a realistic chance of winning trophies whilst we build our new stadium, I will happily take that. Not sure there are though and SA might be here for at least another season yet. I have a feeling that despite my disgust at him being Everton manager, he is going to do quite well once he spends money on his own squad. Could be wrong but apart from the England job, this is the biggest opp of his career.

There's loads of them.

I really hope he’s not given a penny to spend in Jan. We aren’t going down, not a lot to play for so keep him tipping along with the squad we have and allow his long term successor decide who we spend money on.

Get what you mean, and in some way, I kind of agree. But I would be astonished if part of the deal to get him in didnt include a budget in a few days time.

So you don't want us to buy players that could result in us being able to play decent football, but you want him out because the football is crap? Ok.

You can't go into games with that mentality when you manage Everton FC. He needs to change. But he wont. This is what he does. It's short term gain for long term pain.
When you consider the long term pain was relegation I am OK with that.

If this team opened up we would still be in trouble.

We were god awful going forward under Koeman and Unsworth this season too.

Unless we have some boss attacking players hidden behind the couch at Finch Farm then what on earth are you expecting? It is what it is and Allardyce so far has done brilliantly managing with the dross he has been left with. I don't feel like we will concede every single attack any more for example.

Once he can bring some players in then maybe its fair to judge him. (I mean judging a manager who has NOT LOST A GAME managing us is kind of stupid anyway...)

Also you say it's what he does? He has never managed a club like ours has he?

I despair about our fans at times I really do.

I reckon he'll be given the money to buy a striker, and that's about it, more because after spending £150m in the Summer we're a bit skint.

We will have to buy a left back as well. At the moment our entire set up seems to be geared to protecting that side defensively and as a result we have no one high enough up the pitch to begin a counter attack on that side. Our £45m playmaker is also having to do the left back's defensive duties, and cannot split himself in two and be a creative threat at the same time. It's the key position to address for me.
